Howling wind and violent thunder rang furiously through the air, echoing the chaos that he and his servant had left in the wake of their investigation. Lately it seemed that wherever the young Earl traveled, destruction soon followed, immediately after which his life was burdened further--because of course, he hadn't already carried enough baggage and sin and suffering, trials and tribulations shackled to his tiny ankles--by an unseen dilemma. In this case, a young lady currently mourning the loss of her identity. Dark curls spiraled down from her well-kempt crown, blood smeared across her gentle visage in a manner that complimented the hue of her haunted eyes. Those irises, dark as night and soaked in rust...they were the same color as Sebastian's eyes. The butler had noticed from the start, certainly. 'This Lady is not human,' he'd warned his little master, who in turn had posed the question of what she was. 'I don't know' had been the butler's only response. It as not often that Sebastian was unaware of a creature's nature. Thus, the mystery had deepened. Until they discerned such, they couldn't let the woman out of their sights. Naturally, as a gentleman, he invited her to a warm bed, a bath, and a hot meal for the evening. Masks--everyone wore them. Ciel's was particularly well-crafted. Heeding the demon's warning against the girl, he'd taken the seat inside of the carriage across from her, his butler taking the reigns amidst the raging storm. He watched her now, thin brows furrowed with a dangerous emotion. He, too, knew what it was to lose everything. "...We're almost there, Miss. It won't be much longer."
