The dull ache in her gut roused her, the continuous cacophony of growls and roars emanating from it kept her awake but it was Valor’s annoyed flutter that finally drove Quinn to rise.
A midnight snack was, apparently, in order.
The venture, intended on being short and the meal only enough to calm the ravenous beast within her belly until morning, was at least on every other night this happened supposed to be... Well... Uneventful. But that was hardly the case on this particular evening as Quinn trudged into the kitchen only to behond... Herself. Already eating.
“I made one f’you too,” the Quinn nearest to the fridge mumbled through her meal whilst gesturing at the sandwich that sat between them on a plate. “Figured you’d be up. It was a long day after all.”
Quinn blinked, frown pulling at her lips while her other watched her in return, disinterest flickering behind eyes that matched her own.
“What? You afraid I spit in it or something?”
“N-no,” she managed immediately, suddenly very aware of the fact that she was... Perhaps being a bit rude. The Ranger padded quietly forward, eyes falling to the innocent looking meal before her as her hand outstretched. It was turkey with a singular leaf of lettuce wedged between two slices of bread. Her favorite, at least when it came for nighttime snacking.
“.... Thanks,” Quinn murmured, eyes snapping up to watch the satisfied look from her other as she nodded.
“Anytime. Now go back to bed, gotta long day to get through in about four hours.”
Quinn blinked, nodding slowly at herself who was busy raising her own sandwich to her lips.
.......................... Sleep wasn’t really such a bad idea, considering all things and with that, Quinn turned on her heel and marched directly back to her bedroom.
