He didn’t want to come on too strong, especially knowing what he did. But he also really wanted to make an impression on her. He wanted her to remember who he was every time she bumped into him, and he hoped, deep down, that she would want to see him more.

So he had it all planned out. He had the roses, bright pink, delivered to her door. And when she opened it to accept the delivery, he was all set up outside, guitar in his lap, strumming softly and singing along with the soft melody.
