watching narnia movies with myself is so insufferable at times because i know too much. i'm watching it like that's a new zealander actor doing an english accent, that statue of a lion was on location in prague, that boat was radio controlled because william sucked at rowing, those are all potted plants in a studio, skandar had a swollen lip here, that's william doing his own stunt, that's all natural lighting, that's a stand in, that's andrew's parents, that's ben's friend.

the funniest blooper in all of the narnia movies and the reason why i can hardly take this scene seriously in the actual film. this just always pops into my head i'm so sorry ben :')

actually i want to get into this a little deeper, because why have i so often experienced people kind of laughing at me when i tell them the chronicles of narnia is my favourite movie? or my favourite books? why is this seen as something a little silly? i get that they are technically considered to be children's stories but there are so many other, well appreciate, popular children's stories that don't get this same judgement as narnia does. sick of it!

i think it's actually so incredibly amazing that the book for the lion the witch and the wardrobe came out 75 years ago and still it's one of the most unique stories i've ever read in my entire life. cs lewis' writing style is so striking and gripping and different and magical and mysterious and imaginative and captivating and beautiful. i read the first sentence and i'm transported right into the story, no hesitation. he really did that.

opening my activity and seeing something like this is like opening one of the narnia books like i'm sat i'm ready and i know this is going to be good ❤️
