Kookie hasn’t exactly found a place he belongs yet, not after his falling out with Minjun, but the one place he could go where he feels wanted and useful is at the playground with all the kids. Not all kids believed in the imaginary, but those who did would greet him, he’s met a few imaginary friends as well along the way. He didn’t like meeting other imaginary friends too much, he could see the look of pity in their eyes and worry about when they’re time will come with their child doesn’t need them anymore. He doesn’t like to be reminded or the be the reminder.
Today was a particularly good day though. On the playground he met a small group of friends who were all interested in his rabbit ears. They’ve never seen a human like body with such features before, it was only in drawings. He was thankful the’s kids were gentle when touching his ears and playing with them, it quickly led to friendship as the three kids and Kookie started playing pirates. Kookie was the dread pirate “Black Bunny” and he was here to take away all the kids gold. They had dangerous and daring sword fights, kids were made to walk the plank, but ultimately Kookie was defeated and thrown into the ocean.
Laughing and having a great time, non of them hear the bell signaling the end of recess or notice that all the kids were slowly starting to make their way back inside the school. The boys were just sitting on the grass in little fits of giggles before they notice a teacher come up to them. And she seems...to be looking right at him...rather concerned. Blinking a bit Kookie looks behind him and then around them. There was no one else where she was looking, but him. She was an adult though...she couldn’t see him...could she?
