ethan very very deeply regrets being suspicious of mia for her 'babysitting job'. not because he was wrong to do so, but because her final message to him before going missing for three years included "you were right. i did lie to you, i shouldn’t have"  -- as if that mattered to him at all during that situation, as if he would rather be right than hear that she loves him or that she's safe. as far as he knew, she 'died' with that impression of him in her head, and it probably ate him up inside for all those years

[ 🤪 ] what is your muse’s sense of humour like? are they known for being joking, or serious?

ethan's humor is very blunt, bitter, a little dark, sometimes can cross over to maliciousness (depends on who's on the receiving end of said humor). he kind of toes the line between serious and joking?? because he's known to crack stupid jokes while in very very serious situations, but also can be the moodkill in an environment that would be less tense if he’d just lighten up and chill out.

i also feel the need to mention something about dad humor bc he's a new dad.
