@asterisque asked: If anything, Caspar knew there was one thing where no one could beat him: eating! But then he met Raphael and, reluctantly, had to accept he'll be second best now. But, today the place was crowded and he had to sit down with some Lions students and met another rival. Ingrid, was it? The girl was amazing! She probably could beat Raphael in a flash! And thus, him too. So he stared and staaaared at her, trying to discover her techniques, her strengths and weaknesses, he wasn't going down that easily! It was showdown!

Was today’s meal in the mess hall better than usual or was it just her? This is so good! Ingrid took a mental note to compliment the chef later, but for now, she was busily packing down everything off her plate. Each bite followed by a satisfied hum of contentment. The food was savory, and a great mix of healthy and sweet. She’d have more than enough energy for practice after this!
However, after moving on to her next plate (and making sure Felix wasn’t nearby to comment on her food intake), Ingrid couldn’t help, but feel as if she was being watched. Odd. Sylvain and Felix weren’t nearby and Dimitri was... on the other side of the table in deep conversation with Dedue. Who else would be watching her then? Ashe? No, he wasn’t the type. Annette? Was something on her face? She put her spoon down to carefully take a napkin for cleaning, eyes alert and searching for the cause of the pinpricks to the back of her neck.
There’s the culprit! Wait, Caspar?
Had she been so engrossed in her meal that she hadn’t seen him join their table today? Another mental note, work on observation. Ingrid glanced to her plate and back to the Black Eagle’s student, eyebrow raised in question.
“Uhh, is there something wrong with the way I eat?” She asked, completely baffled. He didn’t seem to type to judge on that. Don’t tell me he’s going to mock me too? “If there is. Keep it to yourself. I just want to enjoy meal in peace, thanks.”
