he's leaning back against the table. the breakfast tray and plates have all been cleared. tom baderlock has proven to be a terrible servant. that's what the talk is in the palace. and he's even been questioned as to why he even keeps him on. and it does no favors that he's been seen in the fine clothes that he's sure that fitz is about to gripe over. but it's a fine new jacket that's laid out on the bed. "i won't have you looking like you've just come from the country." he urges, wanting him to try it. he knows it'll fit. but he just wants to see it. a frivolous wish with so little time to spare. - @thecatalystx

After the events of the party, Katie had felt like everything had caved in on itself. The night she sat next to Fitz, spilling her heart out, had meant something to her. She tried her best to keep herself from telling people what was going on. She didn't want to burden anyone, but most of the time, she spilled her soul like it was nothing. Like it was the easiest thing she had ever done. 

So when she had seen Fitz a few days later, she had been shocked by how much he'd changed. Her mind was plagued with the thoughts of how she really was turning into Felix. How she very well might end up just like her older brother. She had also been thinking about Lila a lot after the things Fitz had said about her. It were almost like if it had been Andie that had died instead of Felix. They were like two sides of the same coin. The people that meant so much to them were dead and all the heartache in the world, all the wishes on shooting stars and candles on top of birthday cakes, weren't going to change any of that. 

So why was she so upset? She had accepted that the only person she could count on was herself. And still, it hurt that he had been so cold. She didn't want to think much of it, but she couldn't stop her mind from running through everything. All the things she was thinking were driving her insane and she wondered; did he mean any of what he had said?
