He hadn’t been listening to his friend for some time, Geo’s attention was elsewhere and had been since the moment he had spotted her. So he’d had a few drinks and a long, long few months of training. Tonight was his night to wind down, have some fun and let loose. His friend thumped the table, jolting it into Geo and making the blonde snap his head back to pay attention to the other soldier. His drink spilled on the wooden surface and he glanced down at the mess, shaking it off from his arm and hand before he looked up at the red faced and obviously drunk soldier. “What?” He asked, frowning slightly before he let his gaze flick back over to the young woman he’d been watching before only to let it return reluctantly to the other soldier who was now laughing at Geo.
“If you are so enamored with the beauty that has held your attention since we arrived, Geo, perhaps you should pursue her?” His friend teased, far too amused by Geo’s distraction. It wasn’t entirely his fault, he was indeed enamored, had been from the moment he’d seen her, mixed with his lovely buzz and the liveliness of the place. Geo was feeling a bit bolder than he may have any other night, given he was a soldier, one would think him boisterous and perhaps even arrogant. But he was none of those things, unlike some of his counter parts.
The bunch he had entered with were getting rowdy and Geo’s head was starting to hurt, granted, he was trying to fix up the courage to actually go speak to the woman. Shifting from the table he downed what was left of his drink and mad to get some more, which was really just an excuse to get away from his bantering and taunting battalion. He had other plans in the back of his head, whether or not he’d go through with them depended on the next drink he got.

George shifted, but not much, noticing the small change in their bed composition instantly. Blue eyes blinked open tiredly, letting it fall on the form of his wife and their daughter Oceania, a fond and adoring smile pressed at his lips as he scooted closer and put a hand on the slumbering infant before George kissed her. Gaze lingering on her before it moved to his wife, his hand moving to push some hair out of Livana’s face. How on Earth had he gotten so lucky? It was still some strange story that George barely believed, like some fairy tale or some shit that people told their children growing up to conserve the essence of true love. That was exactly what it was, though, true love, there had been nothing like this before in the Siren’s life, he’d been trapped for many years by his mother and struggled to stay as good as he was, the woman who had raised him was in the dark, though, lost her sons trail long ago, somewhere in New York he imagined.
Oceania stirred and instinctively George adjusted to her mild squirming, replacing his hand on her belly and patting softly, leaning in to hum softly, low, and soothing. An old tune, one the sailors used to sing as the waves tugged their ships on the cruel and harsh oceans. George closed his eyes and continued to hum, it was a tune that got him through some dark times, ‘though the origin of the song was less than happy, it had gotten his mind back on the waves when he was in captivity, he’d get lost on the ocean in his mind. Now... Now it was different, his mind did not wander to the great, beautiful, and dangerous waves of the ocean, of his home. No. An image of his wife and daughter played against his mind and he smiled, they were his home now.
“So-- just hear me out--” George started, perching himself on the edge of the couches arm as he greeted the other when they came into the room. His blue eyes were larger than normal and he was using his hands for emphasis to his words. “We have a ghost hunters marathon for the next twelve hours.”

It was a long flight, fifteen hours or more, George couldn’t remember, he tried to sleep for most of it and was able to catch a few hours in between his analysis of a more modern map of Greece. It had been quite some time since the Siren had been to the country, so other than taking a couple pictures of his lovely wife sleeping and of them together, George spent most of his time on the flight memorizing roads that had long since changed from the last time he had been back to his home country. The traveling, however, was soon over and he’d memorized most of the map he shoved haphazardly in the side pocket of his carry-on, moving out of his seat only to turn and take Liv’s hand. Protective, yes, in a country he’d not been in for a long time. But also excited to be sharing this adventure with his wife.
George shot a glance over his shoulder, shuffling slowly along the one side of the lane, pausing as the person in front of him stopped. He leaned back to press a kiss to Liv’s lips gently, excitement more than buzzing under his pulse. They soon were off the plane, his legs more than thrilled to have the opportunity to stretch and move even though his body was screaming due to the jet lag. With his backpack secured upon his back, the clips in the front fastened, George led them both down the tunnel and into the terminal, the Greek over the loud speaker making him smirk a bit. It had been some time since he’d been able to speak the language as well.
Pale blue eyes scanned the signs before he spotted the sign that would lead them to the luggage claim. George slowed his pace a bit, now observing the people as he sidled up to Liv and offered her a smile, excitement touching his eyes. “You feeling okay?” He questioned, gaze falling over her for a moment to check to see if she was alright, habit, really, as if he were checking for any injuries. Visually seeing she was not harmed he brought his gaze back up to hers and smiled once more, this time his lips spread enough to expose his pearly white teeth. “I’m very excited.” He leaned in a little closer to her and finished his thought in a whisper, “the last time I was in Greece, this airport wasn’t even here.”
He chuckled softly at himself, pausing now in front of the luggage claim and nodding to a couple security officers that passed them. George was sure they both wanted to get to the hotel to crash, but he was so excited he could definitely stay up to enjoy the place, he’d gotten a few hours of sleep on the plane ride over. Not as much as he would have liked, but it was a large plane and not everyone slept during the ride. Including a noisy neighbor two rows ahead of them and across the isle, it obviously was their first time flying but they certainly hadn’t done such a great choice in the destination as the travel time from LAX was roughly fifteen hours and some change. It was a little more thanks to some stormy weather, but other than that, the plane ride was fine. George was just glad to be with the love of his life.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have returned to Greece, it was certainly crawling with people that would report to his mother. But he wasn’t afraid, even if she were looking for him actively, James had set up a distraction for this purpose. This was something he had shared with Livana, they were married now, and George didn’t want to keep another secret from her ever again. He assured her that he wouldn’t let anything happen to her, or to the life they had planned together, if his mother came after him, then they would deal with it together.
But for now, George wouldn’t worry, he knew James would handle what he could if things were to get a little tense, for the most part, though, both the Lewis boys had spent their lives avoiding their mother. This, however, was perhaps the most important avoidance George had ever followed through with. Releasing Liv’s hand the tall blonde moved through the crowd around the luggage claim as he spotted their large suitcase, neatly packed by Liv for the trip. Pulling it off the track George extended the handle and wheeled it back over to Liv, offering his right hand, the ring on his ring finger still something that brought a grin to his lips and at the sight of it he hummed affectionately to his wife. “Ready, my love?”
[ @magic-madness-heaven-sin liked THIS for a starter]
George was the type of man who took life by the horns, or whatever that metaphor was, he did things as they were brought to him and he did them to the best and even better than his abilities. It was a mixture of how he was raised and that little part of him that wanted to prove his mother wrong, he was worth something and he would have a wonderful life with the love that had made everything so worth having. Livana, she made every part of him want to be a better man, to be a better lover, a better father. The news that they were expecting was like electricity in his chest, the good kind, the type of jolt that made him go out first thing to look for a better paying job, one he could settle down with.
So there he sat, applications piled on either side of him, most of them complete but his hand was starting to cramp up, with a sigh George leaned back at the small table that sat just behind their couch, serving as a kitchen table. It was moments like these he could hear his older brother scolding him for not pursuing that which he wanted so avidly like he had. Oceanic blue hues looked up from the paperwork, another half of applications had been turned in electronically, he probably would never get used to the fact most things were done online.
There she was, the love of his life, so bright and adoring. A smirk tugged at George’s lips as he sat the pen down, surprised it hadn’t melted in his hand with how much he was using it. “So, I have someone that might be stopping by later--- they haven’t really confirmed a time.” George had told Livana about his brother, but whether or not the other Siren would leave his high paying job to come visit family was a different story. With the news, however, that his younger brother was not only engaged to be married but was also going to be a father, James had agreed to catch the next flight out. “I wanted it to be a surprise, but didn’t know they’d be coming this soon.” He expressed, leaning over the table a bit to take hold of Liv’s hand, accepting the calming sensation that lightened his chest and aching hand. She had a special way of calming him. “I hope you’re not upset I didn’t give you more of a warning...”
You're so special to me, you know that, don't you?
“Well, shit--- If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you love me.” George teased, swaying closer before he eased in to press a fond and soft kiss. Pulling back only long enough to utter, “You mean the world to me.” His lips were back on hers, a little deeper this time but just as fond and adoring as before.
