“Someone said that you weren’t feeling to good.” They had a general chain of who was closest to each other if one of them was feeling off. He squeezed her a little tighter and waited until she was done before stepping back. “Come on Jules, let’s get some take out and hide on the couch.” Grant smiled and rubbed her arms. 

Juliette loved her friend group more than anything.The fact that she knew it had been passed through the grapevine that she wasn’t feeling well and Grant had come over made her heart warm. “Can we watch a bad romantic comedy?”

Clark/Grant Texts 2/12/18

Clark: Hey, Phillips. How goes the reno project?

Grant: It's almost done. They are laying flooring/installing new counter tops today in the kitchen and then tomorrow is appliances. Everything else is done minus the backyard that's still got snow on it.

Clark: Jesus! I think that's the fastest turn around I've ever heard of.

Grant: It cost a pretty penny but it was worth it. It looks great, and I'm gonna surprise her on Wednesday.

Clark: ... What about Em?

Grant: I'm taking Wednesday off. Emily knows that Tuesday night we are going to have a romantic evening and then I am taking her shopping Wednesday. I have some plans to make it all worth her while. She has agreed to let me see Tiffany that night.

Clark: Wow! Does she know about the condo?

Grant: She found out last night. She's... less than thrilled that I spent so much money but she's grateful that I don't intend on having Tiffany move in with us.

Clark: Yeah I cannot imagine that would ever go well.

Grant: No, probably not.

Grant: How's the little cherub?

Clark: He's... good. Though he doesn't sleep as much as we would like. I am thinking of hiring someone to come help Sam out 2-3 times a week so he is less overwhelmed.

Grant: Good luck with that. You sure he won't feel like you don't think he's capable?

Clark: ... I don't know. I still have to discuss it with him.

Clark: Anywho. Just wanted to check on the reno progress! Send me pics once it's finalized?

Grant: I'll do you one better. Drop by tomorrow around 3:30 and I'll give you a walk through.

Clark: Sounds good. See you then!

Rosie: ... No, I'm not. I am messaging you to ask you - kindly - to leave Tiffany alone. You left her far too soon after our scene last night. I had no means to contact you, so I cared for her as best I could until a Dominant I trusted arrived to care for her. You were quite careless and - frankly - Tiffany deserves better.

Grant: My my, don't we have some claws on us. I have no intention of leaving Miss Kody alone. She is one of my patients and how often I do or do not see her is not one bit of your business. As for your rude comment to what she deserves, need I remind you that you are talking to a Dominant who is not afraid to punish you if you do not mind your mouth.

Rosie: I will not cower in fear of you. Just because you gave me an orgasm last night does not mean I owe you one ounce of respect after the way you treated Tiffany. She deserves better than you and if I hear of you bothering her again, I will be sure to forward your name and a full report of your actions to not only the police but to the Medical Board.

Grant: Threatening my license? My, you do have some gall, girl. You will meet me at Kuft in half an hour for your punishment, or I will find you during your classes this week to punish you in front of your students. The choice is yours.

Rosie: You will do no such thing.

Grant: I can, and I will. A half hour, Miss Nash, or the punishment doubles.

Clark: Hey, Dr. P. I was thinking maybe we could grab some drinks tomorrow night. Catch up.

Grant: After the spectacle you put onto your Facebook, I'm sensing you want to vent. We haven't spent time together in nearly five years, Clark. Why now, other than the obvious reason?

Clark: You were one of our closest friends, Grant. I needed my space from everything familiar, but I've realized pushing people/things away does no good.

Grant: Just you, then?

Clark: Yes. Samuel will remain at home.

Clark: ... I've heard of this place before. Isn't this the kink club for pregnancy?

August, finally home from a long ass debate in northern California, was pitching up the stairs with his duffle, straightening his tie as promised and rolling up the sleeves of his jacket. He peeked into Grant’s room, and upon sweeping the room and realizing Grant wasn’t there, he traipsed down the hall and stood outside of the door of his room, smoothing his suit once more before he opened the door and tossed his bag aside. “Honey, I’m home,” he said, fighting back a smile, towards the lump in the blankets and pillows on his bed.
