mush n’ gush.

after a long evening of accidentally letting his relationship slip to the others in the dorms while going over a potential halloween costume, to chasing down ricky in the streets to talk to him and clear everything up, hugo was pretty tired and spent. he didn’t exactly know where to go from here, except that hak had seemed pretty happy for him when the news broke. upon return, to give ricky some space and hugo himself some peace of mind, he got into his snuggies, grabbed some munchies and made his way to huidong and haknyeon’s room.

he looks between them both before he makes his way into haknyeon’s bed, slinking in and curling up. “hi. i’m... sorry i dropped that on you guys. it just kind of slipped out. jungwoo and hosung already know about it, but...” he goes from a solemn expression to smiling softly to himself. “i love her. a lot. i love you guys and per_se as well. wendy is just... she’s special to me. she’s worth any kind of risk.” that was something some people didn’t understand, but maybe if they had a love like hugo did they’d understand a little more.

a starter for @haknyeonrk

junmyeon had been a trainee for a little under a week, and things still felt completely unreal to him. he was waiting to wake up from the really long nap he was probably taking on top of some text book, but the dream kept on going, and the longer it went, the more real it felt. maybe, perhaps, he wasn’t dreaming. maybe he was actually the winner of the mgas and was actually going to be performing on a music show with the other male finalists from the competition. he... honestly couldn’t believe it.

he was in complete awe when he walked into the practice room set aside for the stand by me rehearsals, immediately lighting up upon seeing haknyeon in there. he can still remember that winning moment where they embraced and hak just held him as he cried in pure joy. he heads over with a broad smile, arms wide open for another hug. “well if it isn’t my favourite tangerine peddler. come to make a dancer out of me yet?” he laughs, very much into chirping himself to try to remain as humble as possible after winning the competition. “hopefully i can still do okay for this performance on m!countdown. can you believe we’ll actually be on a music show?”

hugo hadn't exactly kept up with the mgas, he didn’t really know anyone who had been on the show, but he had watched a re-run of the finale to see who nova had signed after training that day. he was honestly excited that they were getting two new boys, one of which was also a rapper (and a dancer, so he could help hugo a little... maybe...). luckily he had paid attention during the episode so he was able to recount the little tidbit about haknyeon’s tangerines, and so began his ridiculous idea for his hazing. 

on their first day together, he had set up a large pyramid of tangerines in the practice room they’d be using (the trainers couldn’t get too mad since these were healthy and all the trainees cause have some to eat). he waited for haknyeon to walk in, hiding behind the pyramid he had set up and jumping out once the younger male had walked int the room. “welcome to nova!!!” he exclaims his greeting with a bright smile, arms thrown into the air before he slides out and gestures to his tangerine structure. “in your honour, master of the tangerines~” and to further goofify it, he does a full bow, going to the floor and laying his arms out before himself.

tw: injury

this injury was proving to be pretty emotional. as soon as hugo was back home in the dorm and the others filed in, it was like an onslaught of sadness. wave after wave of emotions was hitting as each member came to him, and it made him realize just how close all of them had gotten. he couldn’t have asked for a better set of guys to debut with. all of them were such gems, and he was really thankful and grateful to them. 

even their maknae was such a strong part of their unit. sure, hugo found himself trying to mother haknyeon a whole bunch and take care of him, but haknyeon tried to take care of his hyungs just as much too. hugo had just settled into bed when haknyeon approached him, and he immediately smiles for him and reaches both his hands out to him. “c’mere you~” his nose scrunches happily as he makes grabby hands at the younger, craving some cuddles. 

“it’s not that bad, don’t worry.” well, it was bad enough that he had to miss promotions for a few weeks at least, but it was very hugo to try to play it off. “this’ll be good though! you’ll get my lines so you’ll have more chances to shine on stage~ i can’t wait to watch the performances, they’re going to be amazing.” he continues smiling as he wraps his arms around haknyeon, trying to be as positive and optimistic about this as possible. “you totally got this~”

idol life was insane, hugo had discovered, but the thing that helped the most with adjusting to it was the fact that he liked all of his bandmates and they all seemed to get along really well. what impressed him the most was the oldest and youngest members rooming together and it being a working relationship somehow. then again, haknyeon was easy to get along with no matter what. 

hugo found himself wandering up behind the youngest member as they waited in the dressing room to do one of their rehearsals, playing with the pieces of his hair and making them stick up and out in random spots, just cause he could. “our precious junju~ you are the treasure of our team.” he grins, and then pulls more hair out to make it look like the younger boy had stuck his finger in a socket. 

he laughs, glancing around to make sure the stylists and staff weren’t looking at what he was doing. there was no doubt someone would get mad at him for messing with hakneyon’s hair, but hugo was b o r e d and wanted to entertain himself. “and i’m the pirate king coming for that booty.” he wiggles his eyebrows at him in the mirror and laughs some more. was this the product of sleep deprivation?
