I think I have talked about this before but I may as well ramble about it again with fresh perspective.
I have and continue to see Gilgamesh as doing his best to be a good father. Now as I have found nothing that suggests when his son was born (please point me in the right direction if I am incorrect!), I tend to assume that he was born after Gilgamesh returned from his journey for immortality. Unfortunately, one can assume that Gilgamesh’s position as King of Uruk and defacto judge of humanity caused him to be rather distant from his son overall. Attempts to show real paternal affection would have been made as he had a new outlook on life and living by then. So it’s likely Ur grew up rather separate from his father as most princes often do despite Gilgamesh’s best efforts.
But he did love his son. Showing it was another thing entirely. It is likely they did not grow close, in my estimation, until Ur-Nungal was a teenager approaching adulthood. Though how we define “close” here is anyone’s guess.
Long story short: likely closer with his mother in his formative years but saw more of Gilgamesh nearing and into adulthood. With Gilgamesh doing his best to be an attentive and loving father all the while.
Here's the Prince's costume! But, it's actually more than just that! The armor functions, and his trident is actually a weapon he can use! That rainbow gem in the center is actually something special, too! It has a multitude of properties that can help him in a battle! For instance, it can heal him, increase his ATK or DEF temporarily, and even makes him immune to turning into anything, such as a trickster! Of course, this is only if he's wearing it. The Prince's Royal Armor: ATK +25 DEF +25 Heals 20 HP every other turn.
