Headcanon meme~

Childhood headcanonThoroughly rotten (in both being spoiled and in behaviour), Byakuya almost never spent time with the other noble children that visited his family’s estates. He had a tendency to either go off on his own or make his playmates cry, stealing their toys or bossing them around often even worse than the Kuchiki servants. One of the very few times he did behave was in his grandfather’s presence.

Sad headcanonFor many years after her death, he believed that he was at fault for Hisana's death; punished by the gods for marrying too far below his rank, or the indiscretions of his youth, or perhaps even not being insistent enough that she wait for him on her search for Rukia. He still thinks the latter is largely true, but has come to accept that it was beyond his control.

Quirks/hobbies headcanonOne thing that has remained right through the noble's life is his boyhood obsession with Wakame-taishi. In his youth, he would make up stories to stave off the loneliness of losing his father, and even now, the character is something that brings him comfort.

Body Part Headcanon Meme

What makes your muse smile?Byakuya has never been one to smile easily — taught to hide his emotions under his grandfather’s guidance. On the rare occasion he does, it is most often caused by pride in his sister’s achievements or a secret one after catching a mishap by Renji where they cannot be seen. The one time he does smile more openly is his wedding anniversary, when paying a visit to Hisana’s grave and reminiscing over their time together.

Relationship Asks:

♛ : OTP for my muse This will always be Byakuya/Hisana; although she was never able to give him her whole heart, she had his and took it to her grave. I do ship him with others but Hisana is the only one I feel he’ll ever be capable of truly loving like that. He might care for other people, but his heart was broken too deeply to be fully repaired, which is why he distances himself from those around him.

☠ : NOTP for my museByakuya/Rukia — much for the reasons above as well as the fact that he thinks of her nothing other than a sister and has from the moment she was adopted. There are non-personal reasons too, but they will be discussed in a headcanon post sometime in the future.

✰ : Weird thing they want to try or have triedHaving been brought up with traditional Japanese foods, Byakuya had never had the opportunity to taste other cuisines before they became a common thing in Seireitei and Rukongai eateries in the last few decades. His first experience was in the living world, drawn to the enticing scents of a Indian curry house while on a mission. After returning home, he actively sought out dishes like that of what he’d smelled and quickly found he enjoys them.

★ : A socially unacceptable thought they’ve hadIn his ill-tempered youth, the young heir often wondered why the citizens of Rukongai weren’t under the rule of the nobility, as he thought they should be. He once voiced such an opinion to his father and was roundly scolded for it, then given a very clear explanation that the nobles didn’t have the right to such power and has not questioned the fact since.

✱ : Someone or something who or that has played a part in a fantasy or daydreamOn occasion, in his quietest moments, he has wondered what his life would be like if Hisana hadn’t died — what it would be like if she was still by his side watching Rukia blossom into the powerful shinigami she was becoming. If the three of them would have been happy and whole as a family.
