Monday afternoons were usually their slow days. The day Tomas uses to review menu items, turn the kitchen into a test kitchen for new creations, and give his staff a day off. All they had were the Monday blue customers in need of a quick coffee and pastry. So Tomas settled this Monday with Jess to try out the idea that he brought up, the technicalities of a recipe stewing in his mind ever since. He had a few batches churning away, different methods of infusing cheese into the ice cream, and trying different cheeses. The kitchen looked different from its usual days, more like a lab, catching a few eyes from the street every once in awhile, but he caught Jess’ outside as he waved to him to come in, cheese in hand. "You're right on time, I have a few options churning in the ice cream churners for your tasting," Tomas voiced out as Jess came into the store, "but it’ll a lil more time, do you want to have anything first? Coffee, tea?"
