Growing up as an only child in France was an equally exciting and lonely experience for Joleigh. She lived in a beautiful, sprawling manor with her parents and her grandfather who were well known in their city for being the owners of the most successful vineyard in their area. With her parents at work and her nanny an older woman with years of experience but less energy than Joleigh herself, she often found herself lonely and trying to invite any friends over to play that she could.
The closest of friends were children she went to school with, and her absolute best friend was Kaleb Durrand. Her fondest memories outside of familial experiences were of running through the halls of the Moreau Manor with him, laughing and playing games. She was there with Kaleb through the good and the bad, and when he came to her at fourteen, telling her how he’d finally run away from his toxic home and didn’t have anywhere to stay, Joleigh let him in with arms wide open. Any time Kaleb needed a place to stay or someone to lean on, Joleigh was there for him and he was there for her.
Being the daughter and granddaughter of such successful people meant that Joleigh was well-established with a trust fund that she would be granted access to once she proved that she was mature enough to handle the funds, or when her grandfather passed away. They did their best to instill a work ethic in her similar to their own, and it stuck for a bit but Joleigh had little desire to work and wanted instead to travel the world and enjoy her life.
She got her wish to travel when, at the age of seventeen, her grandfather caught her in the pool house with another woman. Joleigh’s secret that she had hid from the family - a girlfriend - revealed, she had been given the choice to leave the woman and her sinful ways behind or lose her place in the Moreau family. She choose money over her heart, and was rewarded with a six month all-expenses paid trip to anywhere in the world she chose. She’d gone to Thailand, to Japan, then to Australia and ended in London before returning home.
Joleigh spent the next three years between helping out with the vineyard and spending her free time with Kaleb and her other friends. She kept any trysts that her grandfather would disapprove of away from her home, flitting from romance to romance without any commitment. When her grandfather fell ill, she focused inward on her family and was there for him in his final days. For months after, her previously carefree personality more somber in his passing as she helped her family to push past what had happened to them.
Once things had returned to their new normal, Joleigh told her parents that she wanted to take a chance to go out on her own and live somewhere other than her childhood home. Begrudgingly, they agreed as long as she promised to return home once she was ready to get married and settle down to run the business. The promise made and her inheritance in an account she could access, Joleigh set out for London.
Over the last nine years she’s found herself a modest two-bedroom flat where she lives with her ferrets - Bandit, Princess and Smokey. She’s been a bit impulsive in her spending habits, though it hardly made a dent in her trust fund. As a result she owns a three-store chain of high end sex toy shops throughout London that she oversees. She gives to charity four times a year and spends a few nights a month DJing for parties with her friends (such as the lovely Monica).
