(NCT Yuta) I had randomly decided to go on a hike, despite it being the end of fall and start of winter. I was about halfway through my hike where I knew wolves and other potentially dangerous animals lived when a blizzard suddenly began. I quickly searched for shelter, and ended up falling off a small cliff of about 30 feet. I knew I landed wrong as soon as I heard a loud crack and felt my leg break. I slid down a few more feet and whacked my head on a sturdy and old tree, (1/2 Julia)
(NCT Yuta) and passed put cold. I was freezing cold and exposed in what was about to be one of the worst snowstorms in years all alone in the middle of what I thought was nowhere. (2/2 Julia)
Yuta and Mark had left the house long before the storm had picked, they had no specific place they were heading but they were getting too claustrophobic trapped in doors all day because the threat of the storm. When they had left, transforming into their wolf forms so they could get farther on foot, the air was crisp and burnt their nose from the cold – but it didnt seem dangerous. The snow started slowly, just light flakes falling and tangling in their fur as they walked through the woods, cautious not to cross over the human made path despite knowing no one would be there and then suddenly the snow was falling in blankets, matting down their fur, even their fogged breath hard to see through the thickness of the snow.
With a start, they hurried back to their house, following the path they always followed back home only to make a startling discovery. Lying just before them, was a stagnant body, their lips turning blue and their body covering in a thin layer of snow – how long had they been there. Cautiously, Yuta stepped towards the seemingly lifeless body, until the nails of his paws were nearly pressing to their side, his nose dipping to nudge them. There was no response other than the faint fog of breath leaving your lips. ‘She’s alive,’ He turned to look at Mark, where he stood further back, ‘We have to bring her back.’
Without more thought, Yuta switched to his human form, the wet snow slapping against his bare skin and his feet sinking into the thick snow; he was much more aware of how cold it was, and how dangerous the situation for you was. With a heave, he was dragging your body towards where Mark stood, still in wolf form, hauling your stiff body up and resting you across Marks back. Once he was sure you werent going to fall immediately after placing you, he gave Mark one nod, turned back into his wolf self and together, now with you as company, made their way back to the packs house.
