There are rumblings of unrest in Crouzith - and the politics in the kingdom are complicated.

Several recent rulers have died without heirs, often having been murdered.

Kedron is aware of these issues, and the potential dangers of violent unrest.

Yet the lands he rules over are spared, and not because he is an Elementalist.

Kedron focuses on transparency - he wants to ensure proper recordkeeping and be certain that people aren't overworked and are given proper wages. It cuts into potential profits, but has endeared the elf to the people he rules over.

As a Lord of Crouzith, Kedron is, naturally, fairly wealthy.

He was gifted a significant amount of land - and his primary income is from the taxes paid by the serf-citizens who farm it.

He owns a home in Crouzith's capitol, as well as a second, larger estate out on the countryside surrounded by his lands.

Those who live in the areas "ruled" by Kedron are proud to have an Elementalist protecting them - and considering that he's preferred to stay out of the spotlight, most of what people have to say about him is positive.

... Kedron feels guilty accepting this praise, but he isn't given much choice.

Arivalon was always wary of outsiders. Because of this, a vast majority (~80%) of the kingdom's population was silver elves.

Crouzith, on the other hand, is a more mixed kingdom - about half silver elves and half human. They're much more friendly and accepting of outsiders, as long as they're willing to work.

Most toymakers have an identifying mark that they'll inscribe on their products - meaning that it's often entirely possible to determine exactly where a toy came from.

Kedron marks his woodwork with a slightly modified version of his father's maker-mark: A triangle (representing a mountain) with the first initial of his name peering out from behind the "peak" - much like the sun.

Kedron is a private person, and tends to keep to himself. But he does have a hobby of whittling small wooden toys and figures. He doesn't have any use for these items, but it's something that passes the time when he isn't being forced to deal with other duties.

His parents owned a toy shop in Arivalon's capitol - and Kedron apprenticed there for a few years before he left home as a teenager. He knows that his parents likely died when the city was destroyed, and woodwork is one of the few ways he feels he can connect with his former home.
