Another day, another experiment.

Fu yawned, leaned back in his chair in his lab as he scrolled through some recently-collected data.  He’d been searching for new subjects to study for a while; it felt like he’d seen practically everything there was to offer at that point in time.  Well...almost everything--he knew there were a few subjects he couldn’t quite get his hands on just yet.  More godly subjects, so to speak.

Still...the thought tore him apart.  If he could just get one sample, his week--maybe even year--would be made.  The amount of data he could collect from just a little blood made his mouth water for...some reason.  Maybe he was weird.  Who cares?  Not him.

This time, thinking about it pushed him to the edge.  He got out of his chair, grabbed his sword, and opened a portal.  Damn it, he was going to get a sample from a kai!  He didn’t even care which one.  He calculated the closest reading to him before hopping into the portal to find it.

When he arrived at his destination, he looked around.  He was in some World of the Kais, alright, but he wasn’t exactly sure which one just yet.  Whatever, though--he had a mission, and he was gonna carry it out!  So, he started looking for a kai.  Whoever had shown up on his radar had to be here somewhere...

Broly felt like wandering today for some reason.  He’d sort of snuck out when no one was looking, since everyone tended to herd him back inside when he tried to leave.  He didn’t quite know why, but he never asked.

He was out in the yard for now, just kind of...standing there.  The sun felt nice on his face...and the breeze was soothing, too.  He didn’t know why everyone kept him inside; there wasn’t anything unusual out here.

/ mainverse, Kai'Sa may not be cruel or possessed by ill intents, but treating her with no caution or wariness is ill-advised. She holds onto her humanity and tries her best to be kind and approachable, but she is still a very feral woman who only knows aggression as defensive mechanisms or reactions toward things she didn't expect.

      also, if you think Kai'Sa won't bite a finger or an ear clean off, you're terribly mistaken. She'll do so if she sees it necessary in any way to her feral concept of 'solving problems'.

Tonight could have ended better.

Hearts’ head was throbbing.  He’d been around the crowds for too long, and his head was filled with the thoughts of people he’d never met.  One minute he was hanging at a party, and the next, he found himself ducking into a nearby alleyway to escape the noise that only he could hear.

The farther away from the streets he got, the better his head felt, so he was relieved about that.  He sighed to himself--this wasn’t an all-the-time issue, but when it did happen, it really kicked his ass and ruined his night...

As he traversed the backways through the city on his way back to his own home, he came upon another figure in an alley in front of him.  He couldn’t make out a face--they seemed to be facing the other way--but it didn’t take him long to pick up on the strange uniform they were wearing.  It was...familiar, somehow.  Where had he seen--?

It suddenly clicked.  He knew where he’d seen that outfit.  He’d seen the Tournament of Power recording enough to know it by then.  He couldn’t place which one it belonged to, but it definitely belonged to an angel.  What was one doing out here...?

He supposed it didn’t matter.  This was...a surprising opportunity.

He gathered his thoughts and quieted his breathing.  He knew he didn’t have enough power to take on an angel head-on, so this would have to be a surprise attack.  It was his only chance, he figured.  He would take down his first deity tonight--the first of many he’d planned to eliminate.

His heart was pounding as his adrenaline began to rush, but he wouldn’t lose his cool.  He had experience in combat; he’d be fine, right?  He kept this in mind as he stealthily crept up upon the angel in front of him, readying an attack consisting of a few cubes he’d formed out of energy, about to strike--!

In the year since he’d last seen his wife, he’d gone from just being a regular militiaman to becoming President Monroe’s right-hand, to becoming President Monroe. It’s been a wild year, honestly, but he’s been feeling her absence next to him every day of it. That’s why, in his last letter to her, he’d invited her to Philadelphia, so that he didn’t have to go another day without her here.

Honestly, Leo missed Juli almost as much as he missed his mother, so abruptly taken away from him without giving him a chance to say goodbye. It was a wound that cut deep, and he knew that without the last living part of his family, he’d go crazy trying to run the Republic by himself. He’d watched it happen to his father, how bad he’d gotten over the last however many years since Miles defected.

So, for his own well-being, Leo is eagerly awaiting the arrival of his wife, so that he could be the first to greet her on her way into the city. It shouldn’t be a surprise, then, that he’s ditched his security detail to hop up into the driver’s seat of the carriage next to her as a surprise.

        While Gale was fascinated with psychology, there were times that he wished he’d chosen a different interest. Perhaps something that would help him grow quicker socially. While psychology had helped him grow and develop his socialization skills, when it came time to test them, he was in quite the predicament.

        Because while he’d developed them, they still were no where near applicable. 

       “Uhh... c-could you m-m-maybe tell me where I am?” The unicorn stuttered, head sunken a bit as if attempting to hide. “I-I’m k-k-kinda lost...”
