“OH MY GODS, MALCOLM!”
"What the fuck is this? Tinker, Tailor, Solider, cunt?”
"You've got those in the wrong order, you silly prick. Do try to pay attention."
❛❛ How humanity survived so long is a mystery to me. ❜❜ {from Malcolm and whichever verse you feel like}

“Gods, I know.” Thera shut the office door almost on the heels of the delegation, balancing ‘getting them the hell out of there’ with not seeming to be rude. If only just.
The most amusing parts of any meeting with Tucker was the aftermath, the savage, almost visceral dissection of any fools who happened to have been there too. Or of the weather, or his colleagues, or that stupid arse of a jogger who went by this morning in high-end designer booty shorts and what was he trying to prove?
It was usually cathartic, and fairly rare that they disagreed - even if this one was just a hint closer to home for her than most.“It’s like Mother Earth didn’t finish her course of antibiotics and now they’re resistant.”
Des takes after Malcolm so much, being a mage, and being tall and simply being what it means to be a Hawke.
But then, she also wants to make her mother happy. A lot happens to them since Lothering, and nothing comes easily, but Des just wants Leandra to be happy, to be content, to not have to worry (even though she will, anyway)
Losing Bethany made her feel as if something was always missing. They had magic, they shared time together, Des protected Beth in all situations.
Almost losing Carver made her urgent, aggressive towards Anders and towards Stroud to take him in the Wardens. She wasn’t going to lose the last member of her family, and even though he had to be sent away, knowing he was alive and well made up for it.
