Minwoo was a little down in the dumps tonight. He’d been left home alone all day, and just when the pack came back no one wanted to play, most went to sleep, and the ones that didn’t just went out to do border patrols. He knew their rival pack was acting up, but he didn’t think it was that bad. He would have just dealt with being ignored and went to bed had it not been the way Jaehwa yelled at him for whining about not getting the attention he usually did. Minwoo didn’t even wait long enough to get the usual apology whenever he got to be too much, he didn’t even try to wake up Mi-Mi for comfort like he normally would have either. Instead he just left, traded being in his room alone and feeling even worse for taking a late night walk and doing his damnest to shake awake the negative feelings. It wasn’t like him to be upset, and even if he did get that way, he never allowed himself to stay that way very long.
The omega was out for a while, just keeping to himself and kicking rocks down the sidewalk as he walked. He was feeling better, knowing he should go back soon and apologize to his alpha as soon as he was awake, but before he could get to the point of needing to return he caught a strange sent, head tilting to the side as he instinctively began to walk towards the source. It wasn’t hard to tell, it was a werewolf just like him, but what he was curious about was what pack they were from. It wasn’t a scent he knew, and Minwoo prided himself with knowing just about everyone. He might not know them well, or even remember all their names, but scents was the one thing he would never forget, and this wasn’t one he had come across before. As soon as he caught sight of the strange dog-looking werewolf Minwoo was picking up speed, grinning from ear to ear as he moved closer.
It took everything he had not to shift himself, but thanks to actually learning from previous experiences he knew better than to just rush another wolf like that. He might know he was only playing, but it wasn’t a guarantee that anyone else would. “Hey! Heyheyhey!” The energetic male called out as he got closer, stopping before he could get too close and invade the other’s personal bubble. Even if he stopped moving closer, Minwoo didn’t remain still, hopping in place as he tried to contain his excitement at the hope he’d be able to make a new friend.
