“ … You want a what-off?” As in, she heard him, but mixed in with the surprise and underscore of laughter was the vague hope she might have heard wrong. Of all the things he might want to challenge her about it just had to be baking, where her chances tended to hover somewhere around the 50-50 mark on a good day.

But on the other hand, he was grinning like an idiot and Thera didn’t have it in her to just resign herself to losing. So at the very least he was getting sass with that. “Are you sure you want to do that, Leathers?” She flicked the lapel of his jacket with a smirk. “For all you know I could be Gordon Ramsay’s secret daughter or something!”

[ so I debated posting the story itself on here, and decided it would just be easier to give everyone the link to where I posted it on my AO3 account. i won’t be doing every single day sadly bc i have work and writing blocks now and then, but I’m hoping to at least do two-three days out of all the prompts. this is the first one, and even tho it’s a little early, I’m very very proud of it :D
