ough i finally got around to listening to a talk by robert kurvitz on worldbuilding, and it's so neat. what a cool guy
The way he was just a child that had his life already decided for him by his parents before he was even born and then was kidnapped with his friend along with a bunch of other children to be experimented on, only he was going to be used as a puppet to make a clone for a megalomaniac psychopath with a god complex to cheat death. He turns himself into a living weapon once he’s rescued so that he’ll never experience the trauma of being powerless and other people stealing his autonomy from him ever again. Things go well for him for a while until he’s on the expedition and runs into something that has become more monster than man and attacks him so viciously he nearly dies. He goes back home with his trauma fresh in his mind and through a series of mistakes, he loses his father figure, the promotion to Captain, and his father figure’s knight title that will now die with him. All because of his trauma and insecurities
I just want you to know that image of vasco in cowboy gear damcing in the snow has been my phone background for so long. It makes me feel so much joy everytime I see it. I would die for youe boys, don't test me.
Ah, thank you!
In my mind Vasco often appears in cowboy gear, I just never end up drawing him that way :v

I accidentally posted a draft, hope you didn't mind if I deleted it lol I'm gonna post the whole thing when it's done; a tiny panel of Dick meeting the new Robin ~
The job I just landed is so perfect and it happened so quickly that it's setting off my "Too Good To Be True" alarms... I keep rechecking the facts like... well they didn't contact me, I contacted them... this company is large and longstanding and well documented and I don't see anything about scams with them... I don't think a lot of scams would tell you right away that you gotta take a 12hr CDL training...
And eventually I realized that it's not generally perfect, it's just so perfect for me, in ways that would not be for other people. 30 hours a week on an hourly wage is not what everyone wants. 3hr/3hr split shift with ~6 hours in between is perfect for my specific life. The location is a 10 minute walk (walk!) from my house, that doesn't make it perfect for anyone else. The company also operating in the country+region I hope to move to eventually feels kismet only for people hoping to move to that country+region.
...I think it might just be a decent, well-paying union job that just fucking happens to be tailored to my needs. I think I might just be fucking lucky.
