great things that happened today:
during my talk i said 'penis springing up' when answering a question about spontaneous sex change in roman literature, causing someone in the audience to use that expression, as well as the chair of the panel
was talking to one scholar who explained that the earliest use of eraste was attributed to women and proceeded to ask without hesitation 'so could it just be a really, really old word for cougar?'
the urge to call caelius 'just a little guy' when talking to my y12 about his characterisation in the pro caelio
Ovid:
Augustus: This should have stayed in the drafts bestie (exiles him from Rome)
nothing but pure vibes 😌 (aka im hoping that posting here will keep me motivated to plan LMAO)
every time i make a reference to being Old my y13s gaslight me like 'aren't you like 21' i am 23 this year THANK you very much
