Rigel had settled into this strange new way of living with minimal fuss. Occasionally he would ask Manus if he had heard from Blackguard, and more often than not, he was told “No.” The feeling of doubt never left him, but the grounding sensation that continued to pull at his spark eased his fears when they bubbled back up at night.
During the day, the youngling had found himself buried in culture he didn’t know existed and walks through districts that had been rebuilt; Alive with mech who had returned to resume normalcy. Much to his surprise, his temporary guardians seemed to cater to his every whim. Delta and Beta were more than happy to take him through walks in glittering crystal gardens, down bustling allies and through expansive historical centers that had been restored.
It was after one such excursion that he sat in his given suite surrounded by Datapads that ranged from this Universe’s history to a volume about how to take care of creatures that reminded him of Earth dogs, and a plate of soft energon pastries.
“What’s up?” He asked the visitor when he heard the door chime and open.
