@acedetectivexseta desires a necessary reunion for two !!
The call he received earlier was unexpected (given how rare it was for a meet up to successfully avoid clashing with their schedules), but not unwelcome. For anyone who knew Yosuke, it was a given that he’d been holding out for signal of some sort, a proper nudge in a direction that would hopefully lead him to a certain detective currently residing in Tokyo... before free time was up, and he, and the remaining members of Y2K, would be boarding the first private flight to Okinawa to continue on their designated tour route. Thankfully, it would seem that Souji caught wind of his restlessness, which wouldn’t be all that surprising given how their emotional ties deepened with degrees of separation. Whether it be far, or close nearby--as in this case, for example--reaching for the other’s presence when physical touch was impossible, was never too difficult a feat.
Not when their shared connection reached a desired point of interest, and it felt as if the one he longed to see was right beside him. A close equivalent to the real thing, which aided on... certain evenings, but for today’s forecast?
Nowhere near the preferred levels.
Hence why, after a quick head’s up to his manager that he’d be out for the night (”Bless Minami-san’s everything, honestly.”), the idol was stepping out of a steamed bathroom, drying strawberry blond locks with a white towel.
It hadn’t taken him long to retrieve a taxi and be on his way, having memorized the address given in Souji’s latest text from a few hours prior. A hotel he’s seen in passing throughout the time spent in the city, but had never once bothered staying in before this day. Well, there was always a first time for everything as the saying goes, and Yosuke planned to make the most of it with his Partner.
Or, at least, that was what he thought he’d be doing the minute he arrived.
“...So much for diving into his arms the very second I opened the door, but I guess a guy can dream every once in awhile...” He muttered quietly to himself, tossing aside the note he found waiting for him upon receiving a key card downstairs; in Souji’s handwriting, it was a memo pointing out that the detective might be running an errand by the time Yosuke made it.
“Hopefully he won’t be much longer...”
Towel resting atop his head, the idol flopped on the bed and sought the remote. Hopefully something good would be on, or this was going to be a grueling wait time--ooh ‘The Secret of Our Last Vows’.
Come on, Sumiko-chan, don’t let Yosuke down while he waits!
