"I could never find the right way to tell you... Have you noticed I've been gone?"
hi its finally time to answer this FUCKING ASK @evokerfool
Her fists curl at her sides as she looked down at her brother’s possessions. His music player && headphones, uniform, notebooks were among the things that littered his room. She gazed around, noticing how EMPTY it felt without him. His absence, his DEATH had taken such a heavy toll on her already && because he was her sibling she was expected to pack up his things.
How was she going to start? It felt like she was supposed to accept his death this way && Minako CERTAINLY hadn’t gotten over it in the last few days. Most of her time was spent in her room && this was her first look at his in awhile.
Pale hands gripped at the edges of the empty boxes she was holding, going to set them down on his bed. She had to get started sometime && she couldn’t just leave his stuff here. Minako would have to figure out what to do with it.
It all seemed so ridiculous, having to pack up his life. But it was necessary && she had already started on her own room. The offers from the other S.E.E.S members to help her seemed to ring clear in her mind, like a bell echoing throughout an empty town. They were pushed to the back of her mind as she reached for his music player, accidentially brushing the play button. Minako jumped as a pop song started to play, one she didn’t expect him to listen to but as the tune rang on she recognized the lyrics.
And it’s a long way forward, so trust in me. I’ll give them shelter like you’ve done for meAnd I know, I’m not alone, you’ll be watching over usuntil you’re gone.
She kept listening to it && didn’t even realize as tears appeared in her eyes. Instinctively, Minako reached for the red ribbon that was usually on her chest. Her fingers grasped at nothing but the soft cloth of her uniform, briefly remembering that her brother had held possession of it last. Their mother’s ribbon was something she’d never be getting back as well as her brother.
Minako ended up collapsing onto the floor as the song continued to play, sobbing uncontrollably as she clawed at the ground.
“ …I hope you are watching me right now, Minato. B-Because… I can’t live without my other half… I can’t do it anymore… n-not without you here…”
