Once again a member has succumbed to the over exhaustingschedules. Is it bad that it’s now considered a norm? The life of the idol wasdemanding after all. Nonetheless, a visit to her member was a must. “Why doesthe prettiest suffer from exhaustion, hm?” She spoke in a soft voice whilestroking the back of her ‘sister’s’ hand with her thumb. “You should take care of yourself better or dark circles will formunderneath those precious eyes of yours. Aish, then your flawless skin will beruined. See how this all tumbles into a plague of ruination of appearance?” Though serious at first, she couldn’t help but chortle at her own babble while brushingsome of the girl’s loose strands from her forehead. “Aigoo, at least you stillhave your mind. That’s all that matters anyway right?” With a soft smile,Hyejeong then leaned forward to gently press her lips to her forehead. “Feelbetter Mina. I’ll come back to visit later.” She spoke in a whisper, quietlypushing her chair back from the bed and placing the younger’s hand next to hersleeping frame. “And hopefully you’ll be awake by then.” She said before taking her leave.
Tears of undying happiness. Tears of utter disbelief. Tearsof agonizing jealousy. Tears of pain beyond imagination. Yes, these were hertears; the tears she shed while holding some bouquet she didn’t even pick outand standing across from someone she’d least expected. The pastor spoke theforbidden words. They went through one ear and out the other but to him, it wasdifferent. His expression was of extreme joy, contrary to her sadness. Hewanted to, she didn’t. Indeed polar opposites until the bitter end. “Do youHowon take Hyejeong to be your lawful wedded wife?” Say no. “I do.” Fuck. “Anddo you Hyejeong take Howon to be your lawful wedded husband?” Say no…no wait, give him hell. With a nonchalant stare, a mocking smirk etching her features, she handed the bouquet to him and shook her head. “You are not the one my mindthinks of when I am happy, when I am sad, when I am in a state of unbearablewant. No, you are not the one.” With that she stepped out of the spotlight, heading towards the person she longed for, who was waiting for her by the door.Yes, she belonged to him.

█ ▌Late nights were the only time the two would meet, mainly because of their busy schedules. Whenever they did meet, they never did much since both were always exhausted. Though with her, it wasn’t about what they did but the time they spent together. Even something simple as snuggling on the couch and watching a movie, she enjoyed every minute of it. The girls already knew of him, from the many beeps that would sound from her phone, signaling his incoming messages. Hyejeong never gave them the name of who the person was, but it didn’t take a rocket scientist for them to know someone was interested in her. Now was she interested in him, that was a different story.
"Oppa, you can’t sleep here. You have to go home or everyone will be worried." Hyejeong spoke in a soothing tone, part of her not wanting him to move from his position, a very intimate position at that.
The two were tired of sitting up, so Hyejeong decided to lie down. To think he would lie down behind her and just hold onto her so she wouldn’t fall. He had something else in mind, placing his body in between her legs, arms wrapping around her frame as he rested his head on her chest, right where her heart was located. She didn’t mind the position, since she wrapped her arms around him, fingertips toying with his hair. However, her heart was beating rapidly, in which she hoped he didn’t pay attention to it.
"Don’t have a heart attack on me now miss. I’ll die if I lose ya." He said in a playful yet sleepy tone, making Hyejeong hit his head. "Ow!"
"Don’t make fun of me!"
He chuckled, nuzzling closer as if he wanted to bask in her warmth. “Sorry, miss.” His words were only mumbling so she knew he was drifting more and more to sleep.
"Yah, yah oppa! You can’t sleep here!" Then there were snores. She wanted to wake him but she couldn’t fine the heart to do it. It didn’t help as soon as he went to sleep, the girls returned to the dorms, all eyes widened and some were squealing silently. All in all, they were excited yet frightened because what if their manager came in. Luckily, he already drove off after one of them peaked out the window. Instead of exchanging words they quietly walked to their rooms, Hyejeong only mouthing ‘I’m sorry’ to them, only to have her apology dismissed with heart signs and playful winks. She had to admit she was embarrassed, eyes rolling at the girls’ mocking gestures, but she was thankful for them.
She watched him sleep, twirling his hair around her fingertips. If only they could spend more times like this, the days would be much more rewarding. “I really like you a lot.” This was the only time she would reveal such a thing. Too bad he was asleep. It was more of a type of therapy for her, since she knew she couldn’t like them. “But I just can’t do it, oppa.” She had many fears if they were to date and those fears were something she was not willing to face, which is why she always held herself back. Though the two were spending valentines day together, she already told herself that it would be a simple friendship thing, nothing more. That day would also be therapy for her since, just for that one day, she could pretend to be his.

"Did you find them?"
"Ah, no."
"Aish, where could they be?"
Hyejeong always wanted to film for running man, but she regretted having to participate in the hide and seek segment. Just her luck. She would have loved being casted in anything else, but alas, her fate was to be casted in the segment she despised.
"Aigoo, oppa I’m so tired." The two, as well as their other team members, were running around for hours trying to find the hiders. Hyejeong and Daehyun just so happened to be paired up together after picking the shortest straws, which was the method their team used to choose partners.
"Well of course in those shoes."
"Blame my cordi, oppa." This wasn’t the first time the two were bickering. From the start they bickered over anything and everything pointless. "How about we change shoes?"
"Aha, I don’t think so. Not my style. Not my size."
█ ▌Her lips jutted into a pout, his words making her more annoyed than previously. She was now walking behind him, not wanting to run anymore. At this rate, her feet would have probably twisted if she kept running, which would have caused more of a problem.
Daehyun stopped in his tracks, hands resting at his waist as he glanced around the mall, in an attempt to at least spot a movement. “They hid well, huh.”
"Well of course. They had a million years to do so after all."
"Stop being over dramatic." ,
"Simply stating facts. If you weren’t so slow with trying to get your shoes back on, we wouldn't be in this predicament."
"And you act like it was my fault the cordi noona put me in such complicated shoes!"
"No, but you could have asked her how to tie them."
Daeheyun huffed, making Hyejeong give him a cheeky grin, feeling victorious over the umpteenth argument they had this game. “Now come on, slow poke, we’re wasting time.”
"Says the one who was complaining about her feet hurting."
She ignored his comment walking into one of the clothing stores, having him follow after her. “We should check the storage rooms.” She was already heading towards the direction as she spoke, while Daehyun was checking in between racks and around the floors. When he realized he couldn’t find anyone he followed after her once again.
Climbing on the ladder Hyejeong checked the top shelves, only to sigh when she saw nothing. “Careful coming down.”
"Shut up, shorty I got this."
"Pfft, okay giant."
"What did you call me?!" As she turned her head to him, the space between the ball of her feet and heel was caught on the edge of the step she was on, making her fall backwards, squealing and closing her eyes to await her fate on the ground. Instead she felt a cushion, which made her feel around, pinching and tugging at his face, eyes still closed as she did so. "Ow, OW! Okay, calm down you’re not dead!"
At the sound of his voice, she instantly opened her eyes, widening them once she saw him beneath her. Indeed an awkward position and she could only hope this part would be edited out from the film. “Please, I wasn’t even that high from the ground to die okay.” As she began to roll off of him, he grabbed her wrist to stop her, making her raise a brow. “Let’s not be hasty getting up from such a comfortable position.”
"Aish, oppa!" She flicked his forehead, scoffing as she stood up. "Come on, perv. We just lost more time."
"I’m tired."
Hyejeong let out a heavy sigh, bending slightly to grab his wrist, beginning to drag him from the storage room. “Yah, yah, yah okay!” She could only laugh from his words, letting him go and turning on her heels to continue their task, with him finally standing up and running after her.

█ ▌A cheering audience was very much audible, even backstage. The two were already growing closer and closer by the day, which was something Hyejeong found exciting. She always looked up to Hyosung, finding her shy yet sexy persona very charming. Who would have thought, after weeks of Hyejeong accidentally ignoring her messages, they would be well acquainted with each other. After all, she thought she ruined the chance of getting closer to her sunbae.
The show was getting ready to start but Hyejeong had a huge problem. She ripped a huge crater in her leggings and, no, it wasn’t an unnoticeable one either. Literally, within the upper thigh area, there was a giant piece of fabric missing, causing her to immediately freak out. What was she to do? The cordis were already packed up and returned to the vans. She couldn’t dare face them with such a problem, nonetheless, she would never hear the end of it. It wasn’t her thighs that caused the whole, it was the chair she was sitting in while waiting to go on stage. A nail was sticking up from the wooden seat, in which she didn’t realize until after she stood up. Once she did, all she heard was ripping. Thinking it was probably the seat of her leggings that ripped, she began to walk away because the rip would have been unnoticeable. It wasn’t until she saw a trail of string behind her that she realized it wasn’t the seat of the leggings but the thigh.
"Ah, damn it!" While she was able to break the string in half, that was only part of her problem resolved, still having to deal with the hole that was very much noticeable once she looked in the mirror. "Aish, what to do?!" Naturally, she started to think of all the consequences she could face from being so clumsy. Deciding to meet her fate, after much time pacing back and forth in the waiting room, she peaked out the door into the halls. She couldn’t call on her members because they were already in the standby area.
Thinking there was no hope, she lowered her head as she let out a heavy sigh, but hope was suddenly in range. Hearing a familiar voice approaching her, she glanced over, a wide smile on her features once she saw her sunbae. “Bless the heavens.” She whispered to herself, reaching her arm out in order to wave the elder over. Luckily, she was able to catch her drift, brows quirked as she walked over to her. “Sunbae, I have a problem.” She whined, quickly explaining the situation to her. As expected, she laughed but told her to meet her in the closet down the hall and she would give Hyejeong an extra pair. Now why in the closet, Hyejeong had no idea but this was her weird sunbae after all, so she didn’t question.
Doing as told, she waited in the closet and Hyosung soon walked in after, with another pair in her hand. Closing the door behind her, she gave the younger her trademark gummy smile.
"How did you not know there was a nail poking from the seat?"
"I don’t know, sunbae! It’s not like I watch where I sit!" She really didn’t. That was one of Hyejeong’s flaws, not watching where she sat or where she walked.
"Aigoo, you’re cute Hyejeongie~"
"Wow, thanks." Her expression was blank since she was so stressed about the situation, plus they were already late to be on stage.
"Don’t take to long now. We’re being called." Hyosung told her as she turned the knob to walk out, or more along the lines of turning the knob and walking into the door. "Eh?"
"What’s wrong?"
The elder tried to open the door once more, only to repeat her prior action. “Locked?
"Huh?!"
"It’s locked?!"
"What do you mean locked?!"
"I mean like—" Hyosung demonstrated to the younger, twisting the knob and pushing her body against the door. "LOCKED!"
"Oh my god…UNNIE HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO US?!"
"WHAT YOU MEAN ME? YOU’RE THE ONE WHO RIPPED YOUR LEGGINGS!"
"WE COULD’VE STAYED IN MY WAITING ROOM!"
"Oh, yeah, AND RISK THE CHANCE OF US GETTING CAUGHT. I THINK NOT."
Hyejeong let out a frustrated groan, turning around as if she wanted to find inspiration. “Aish, unnie, what are we going to do?” She was now whining, plopping down on the floor, Hyosung following suit taking a seat next to the younger.
"On another note, you’re finally calling me unnie."
Her comment made Hyejeong stare at her, then burying her face in her palms. Even now, the elder could make light of things. That was one thing Hyejeong could say she loved about her. Falling over onto her unnie's lap, she let out a heavy sigh.
"Aigoo dongseng, everything will be okay."
"What makes you say that?"
"We can now relax and wait for someone to talk walk by, instead of sitting through hours of tiresome filming."
"Ah, that is true." Curling her body up, Hyejeong nuzzled her head on the elder's thighs, a small smile on her lips. "Though,, because you got us into this, you're paying for the next meal." Her words making the elder sigh and whine, but made Hyejeong laugh, feeling a sense of victory over the entire situation.

█ ▌Heavy panting filled the air as frantic steps were made. Loud screams and yelled words. She knew better than to go out during the day, but since it was her day off she just couldn’t help herself. Now here she was, sprinting away from a bunch of high school fans. A simple fan service gone too far, Hyejeong only wanted to fulfill their wishes, offering them signatures and answering any questions that was asked. However, it was when they started to become touchy and feeling, that she became extremely uncomfortable, leading to her current position.
"HYEJEONG NOONA, WE LOVE YOU!"
"AISH I LOVE YOU GUYS TOO BUT CAN YOU NOT BE SO DEMANDING?!" She was extremely out of breath from running, probably almost two miles, in an attempt to shake them off. Boy, were they persistent, which made her cry out from frustration. Though honestly, it would be a lie if she said it wasn’t entertaining. Schedules, eat and sleep. Schedules, eat and sleep. For once, it wasn’t the nonstop routine and it definitely made her feel alive.
It wasn’t long before her footsteps began to slow down, her shoes gave her a huge disadvantage. Stumbling forward as she halted her footsteps, she crouched down, hands resting on her knees while she tried to catch her breath. “Aigoo, I’m going crazy.” In the midst of ruffling her own hair, she realized the students were no longer behind her. “Perhaps I lost them?” She mused, straightening her posture, leaning back a bit in order to stretch her back. For sure she thought they were out of sight, so she began walking, a rather slow paced walk at that.
"Do you think she went this way?!"
Hearing the familiar voice, Hyejeong immediately looked around, mentally cursing herself as she walked into a music store. No one was at the front desk so she took the chance to find a hiding spot. Having to be quick because who knows where the group of boys were located, she speed walked towards the back, hoping to find a bathroom. Much to her dismay, she couldn’t seem to stumble across one, instead choosing to chill inside of a small closet instead. Once she closed the door, everything was pitch black and she found it very calming. That is—until the door opened once again, causing her to stumble forward since she was still holding onto the knob, only to stumble backwards as she felt a sudden force make its way in. The door closed, her surroundings once again pitch black, only the sounds of heavy breathing breaking the silence.
She didn’t know what to do. Should she say something, or should she stay still, as if she isn’t there. Deciding to go with the first, her voice was soft since she was a timid person to someone she didn’t know, especially in a one on one situation such as this. “Um?”
"Woah, shhh—" Hyejeong heard rumbling, as if the person fell backwards, or tried to open the door to get out. "Who are you?!"
"Who are you?!"
"I asked you first!"
"And I asked you second!" There was no telling who this person was, though judging by the deep voice, she guessed they were a guy. That didn’t stop her from revealing herself, nonetheless.
Once again silence fill the air, as if either one of them were waiting for the other to spill first. After about thirty minutes, she couldn’t take it anymore and let out a heavy sigh as she spoke up. “Okay, since neither one of us wants to reveal who we are, how about we say it at the same time.”
Silence.
"Okay…" She dragged the word out, her way of getting rid of the awkwardness. "One, two…..three. Hyejeong."
"Yongguk"
Once again silence, though only for a few moments, soon both of them bursting into laughter.
"You’re not Yongguk sunbae, please."
"And you’re not Hyejeong, AOA’s Hyejeong. What do you take me for?"
"I don’t know but obviously someone who’s not Yongguk."
The two idols’ laughter continued for they couldn’t believe each other, not even for a seconds. However, it soon clicked, the fact the two were in close quarters. Why else would one hide in a small closet in the first place?
"Running from fans too?"
"Yeah, I was on my way back to the dorms before a bunch of school girls came out of nowhere asking for autographs and pictures."
"Ah, same here."
Instead of silence, heavy sighs filled the air. Indeed, the life of an idol was a struggle.
"Well that’s one thing I can scratch of my bucket list."
"What is that?"
"Being trapped in a closet with B.A.P’s, Yongguk."
Her comment earned a chuckle from him and she too chuckled a bit, though from embarrassment.
