I was wondering if I could ask (because I honestly don't know how) how do you have the tiny music player on your blog/how could I get one of my own?
There are multiple different tiny music players you can get for your blogs. The Billy Tumblr Audio Player is pretty popular, but the one I have on my blog is the Flash Mp3 Player. The Billy one is easier to use, but the Flash Player is more customizeable, which is why I prefer it.
Without going into the super specifics of how I got my specific kind of player, what I basically did was download the songs I wanted on my blog, adjusted them in Audacity so there wasn’t a huge difference in volume between them (this part is totally optional, of course; I was just being nit-picky ), and then uploaded the songs to dropbox (though I’m sure other sites like sound cloud will work, too.) I then plugged the direct links to the songs into the designated area (for Billy there’s a spot for each song, for FP I put them all in the same tab, but I had to separate each link with a | )
If you don’t want to go through the trouble of having to download and reupload your songs, you can always use the wikiplayer, which lets you link directly to YouTube videos. Of course it isn’t a small music player, but it’s the easiest one to use.
With any of these players, of course, you’re going to have to go in and edit the html of your theme a bit to install them. Each site automatically generates the code, you just need to past it into wherever you want the player to be. I put mine in the code for the updates tab I have, but really anywhere on your blog is fair game - so long as it’s someplace where people can find it, just in case they want to pause it without muting their whole computer.
I really hope this all made sense, but feel free to jump into my inbox if you have any more questions/want more specifics on how I got the Flash Player to look how it does on my blog.
