He’s scared. He’d stared down the worst of the beasts the world could throw at him, fought tooth and nail to protect the kingdom he called home...
And all he could see was darkness. He wasn’t going to be starng any beasts down. He wasn’t going to be able to do anything. It’s like the bright future he’d envisioned for their kingdoms, and their people, had disappeared. One stupid reckless, pig headed, idiotic act of sheer brazen arrogance had taken that from him.
