The drive up the mountains was smooth and he had paid a housekeeper about a few days prior to restock essentials and food in the cabin for him, since he didn't have time prior to going with Minerva to make sure everything was prepped for two people.

Parking the car in the driveway of the quaint little cabin, he gets out to open the door for Minerva. "I'll carry your suitcase for you, is that okay?" Offering a gentle smile, he has his hand out for her to take.

"I have a fireplace inside, I'll start it and make us hot chocolate to have while we unwind from unpacking." Besides, Zayne's sweet tooth was something he wasn't going to ignore since it was his birthday in just a few days.

"I bought a gift, it's humble really." More like a South Sea pearl bracelet worth as much as a sports car.

"I'm baking the cake, so I've got no time for gifts this time." He's even making the decorations himself!

"Speaking of...Caleb, why are you putting strawberries, in the cake? Shouldn't you be putting fish paste?"
