I had this as a lil convo with my friend, i was like "Yk, heroes get merch in canon, do you think Sonic 'Hate buys' Flash's?"
I think the idea was cute like yea hes gonna buy them because he's angry and all, and like that he can pretend he's the best by showing off to the very plastic little keychain he bought.
And that's the way he keeps track of what Flash becomes (hatefuly, somewhat, its Sonic and he's been poisonned and left behind by the guy) through the merch and his sparse appearences on TV in backgrounds or smth
Non canon or anything, probably stupid but i thought it was silly and cute somewhat.
He's not even destroying the things, like yeah they get scuffed because of Sonic's lifestyle, but he still somewhat cares for the little tiny flash-like manifactured thing,,
