One sided coin(September 18, 2011)
Life feels like a one sided coin sometimes. Having no control of what you have in front of you, it feels as thought every flip will give you the same side. Shouldn't I have had at least a 50% chance to live a great life as do so many rich and famous people? At least let me flip and see if I can get anything that I want, but no. Instead I was born into a one sided coin where even the color of my skin is a stereotypical factor in which places me on the opposite end of a spectrum of fulfillment and accomplishments that have been made difficult to achieve because of social structure. While I struggle for another side to my life there are those who are $100 bills. Clueless to the life that I live, yet i know about the life that they do. I can imagine myself living lavishly and having anything i want. i can imagine myself being able to go out and buy anything I want, yet those that have it all can't see themselves in my shoes because they will never know what it is to be a one sided coin when they were born a $100 dollar bill. At the end of the day they are nothing but paper...I will hold much more weight...even if i'm a one sided coin. One day I'll be a brick of gold. I promised me this and that i recommend we all achieve.
