Coveted Relic PART 1
(Troy x Triangle)
Author here: wanted to write something about them since I haven’t really seen much and to cure my boredom. This is just part 1 so nothing really happens other than setting the stage for part 2 which will actually have the ball moving.

(Troy POV)
A low thumping noise persisted as I gradually returned to consciousness. With every sensation regained, my discomfort grew as I quickly discern that something was wrong. The environment felt heavy but light at the same time and my breathing felt too easy; almost mechanic. I flexed my hands trying to get the rest of my body to respond but my efforts were interrupted by an invasive hue of blue illuminating my surroundings. My eyes snapped open out of reflex darting around trying to grasp where I was. The most noticeable but concerning realization was my body currently submerged in water. I lift a hand to my face trying to figure out how I was breathing landing on a plastic mask snug against my snout. I took a deep breath finding no leaks and clean air which eased my concerns somewhat. Returning my gaze back in front of me, I raise my hand scraping what appears to be glass. With confidence I press my palm against the glass testing its durability. The glass felt thick but failed to rival my strength as it shattered from a simple blow. The water rushed out of container allowing for me to land on solid ground and scenting the air. It smelt of metal and disinfectant causing me to scrunch my nose at the unwelcome stinging sensation. I walk past the glass shards hearing the crunch beneath my weight. My eyes scanned the identical containers taking in the kaiju who I failed to name or even recognize. Once I grew bored of studying their features I return my gaze behind me taking in the broken container and the water traveling in every direction. I watched it for a moment until my eyes caught a piece of glass with a tag attached to it. Though it was soaked and a bit damaged the contents remainder legible: “COPY 1.0 2/9/21 PHS-5 ‘DESTROYAH’.” My eyes widen scanning over the word “copy” feeling my chest tighten.
“I’m not me” I mumbled my discovery into the cool lab.
Though shock initially dominated my mind, fury just as quickly flooded my system causing my jaw to tighten with a scowl enveloping my face. I clenched my hand into a fist desperately wanting to lash out at something but my remaining rationality advised against it not knowing the stability of the building. My gaze remained fixed on the broken container not focusing on anything specific until a dim green started to coat the remains glass. My eyes widen in surprise following the glow until it reached my hand which had small sparks of electricity jumping from my palm. I clench my hand slightly triggering a larger eltrical pulse to spread through my arm. I stood shock for a moment lips patted before a smile grew on my face feeling this new but welcomed power.
“No matter my origin, my goal remains the same”
This room quickly lost my interest encouraging me to explore further through the lab reaching a room containing a large device. The platform look damaged with a console flickering to life beside it.
“What is this?”
I gaze over the screen noticing the enlarged “Charge” button displayed. I continue reading noting the power level only at 88% but it will have to do. I raise a claw ready to test its capabilities after feeling satisfied with my gathered information.
“Interesting”
I press the “Charge” button before stepping onto the platform buzzing with life. A blue glow similar to the one from the container emitted below me as two appendages started to move in a circle parallel from one another. As the machine gained speed a sharp electric current intruded my body causing me to grunt in pain. A crash sounded behind me but my vision was obstructed by the light. I flexed my muscles in discomfort as the waves of electricity grew in amplitude. Everything started to feel hot and bright as I let out a growl before disappearing from the lab.
(Third Person POV)
As a battle raged in the heat of a wasteland where men tore at each other. The sound of thunder fell upon deaf ears but the streak of green was impossible to ignore. With another flash, a titan slammed into the battle crushing hundreds. A groan vibrated the earth as the beast lifted its colossal form from the crater. An unfortunate soul failed to evade a descending hand meeting his demise. It rose to its full height casting a shadow among the petrified army. Its gaze traveled over the humans releasing a puff of smoke from its snout.
“Run”
Screams tear through the air as men scatter only delaying their demise. The creature roared before charging into a herd of soldiers using its wings to cover a larger surface stakes before taking to the skies. It lands in front of another group of soldiers beginning to emit a green glow from its mouth. Snapping its jaws towards the ground it fires spreading its flames an across the landscape consuming men and equipment. Once the dust has settled and no lingering life could be seen, the titan let out a huff grinning with sadistic pleasure. It had been far too long since he had a chance for a good slaughter. With a final roar of victory he set out to claim what was rightfully his.
(Triangle’s POV)
Everything just keeps getting worse. Today was just suppose to be running errands but here we are. Monkey’s brother suddenly appears and casually drops the news that our friends are alive. Luckily the situation is manageable with only Rodan lost in the multiverse.
“I got it!” Gidorah announces carrying a large device into the room.
He sets it down on a table before powering it on. Monkey and I walk up trying to get a better look at it but still failing to understand what we were looking at.
“What is it?” I ask hoping to have a better grasp of Gidorah’s plan.
“It’s what the militia used to track the router when we dimensioned hoping. I don’t know exactly how it works but we may be able to find Rodan this way.” -G
“So like a tracker? Huh, that could work but how do we know it’ll pick him up?” -T
“There, in a different rift was last night but in a different biome” -G
“How do we know it’s him?” -M
“Well who else would it be?” -G
“Welp we can’t just leave him out there” I decide not willing to let this second chance slip from my hands. “Let’s go get him” I state ignoring Monkey’s protests about his annoyance having to travel again. Gidorah starts to set up the device to take us straight to Rodan’s dimension. I start to think about a plan for catching Rodan but Cole walks into the room clearly wanting to say something.
“One more thing; after Rodan I saw someone else before I got teleported here. He might’ve been the cause of it too. It all happened so fast but I have a pretty good idea of who it was.” Cole finishes look a bit nervous but serious as he thinks back to his time in the lab.
“Who?” Gidorah asks the question we were all wondering.
Cole stares at him for a few seconds clearly uncomfortable with his discovery.
“Destroyah” He finally answers looking more sure of himself after finally getting it off his chest.
I freeze feeling my heart sink into my stomach. That’s….that’s not possible. Out of everyone why him. I try to steady my breathing feeling my skin start the become clammy and my lungs tighten.
“You okay Triangle?” Monkey asks clearly concern from my sudden anxiety. I stare back at him trying to get the words out but my throat only tightens.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine” I finally cough out taking a deep breath before looking away from him and back at Cole.
“If that’s true then this is a lot worse than we thought”

Author’s note: As stated previously, this part was to simply set the stage for my fic but still leave it open enough for changes. I don’t want to spoil anything for the future but wanted to hint that Triangle and Troy do have history together. Obviously the series hasn’t gone into depth about the characters past so I’m kinda winging it. I’m open to suggestions or corrections for my fic since I’m also doing this to make reader’s happy and satisfied.
