He didnt want her. He didnt really want anything to do with her. Yes she was pretty enough but she wasnt the one he wanted.
He met Mary at one of the balls of the ton. She was a forward girl with shiny blond hair and radiant blue eyes. He thought she was attractive, but it was never his intention to court her. That was until he received a missive from his mother.
He had waited too long. He was sent to London to choose his own bride or one would be chosen for him. Mary was of good breeding, good standing. She would be able to bare him heirs but still, he did not want her.
Yet here he was, at her family's estate, waiting out in the rain to be let in.
A forced courtship had begin.
