Tree - Safe To Say (2013)

Tree has just released 'Sunday School II: When Church Lets Out', a sequel to last year's ''Sunday School'' mixtape and I'm excited enough to not bother even listening to it in full before posting it up here - but so far its ace. Tree ain't no generic rapper/producer, skill-wise and vocally he stands out as much as his beats and this ish will not disappoint I BET. Raspy cigarette racked raps and chopped up soul samples - Tree is a street rapper, and the texture of his voice and beats is a reality-grounded sound, but he's eccentric enough in his own way to avoid the wearying cliches of street rap in 2013.
