Are they alive or at least conscious? I was reminded of when I wrote about a robot dog with a bio-neuron computer that could cool down by drinking water and piss the hot water out. Was it alive, or was it only conscious of it getting hot and reacting by drinking cool water and relieving itself of the hot water?
