#CREDIBILITY THE NOBODIES LISTENING PARTY I had a super rockin' Saturday people! Thanks to The Nobodies' (@_nobodies) listening party. I pulled into the gated parking lot of the 120 building on 25th Street in downtown Miami. I spotted Matt(@MTFRyourmom) (I recognized him from online) walking to a car and I called out to him before he got to the driver's side door. I introduced myself and told him I was only there because he invited EA PR to come (which I thought was pretty dope, Thank You Matt!) and The Nobodies were all I cared to see. I asked him when the show would begin and Matt, with his calm and humble demeanor breaks the "Not sure exactly when we're gonna start" news as gently as possible to me. Honestly, if they knew who they were dealing with, they would know that their guest of honor was in the building!! Just kidding. The show actually began around 10:15 and the space is an industrial loft with cool paintings and writing on the beams that go from floor to ceiling. Moth (@moth666) opened the show with some new material that he'd been working on in NY. BTW, Moth is absolutely adorable and I admit trying to manipulate him to begin his set early for me so that I can get to my next engagement. (I was getting close until Jah Rah discovered my plan.) But moving forward, Moth has a stupendous sense of humor and yet gives off a dark feeling in his lyrics. He reminds me of Tyler The Creator a little bit. Finally, MY NOBODIES are up!!!! I'm super ready and anxious and somewhere in there Matt and Jah Rah(@jahRahMF)have this awesome wrestling match that ends with a body slam! I'm screaming and moving in closer. Matt announces the order of operations as far as they'll play a few songs then do a live performance. I'm on edge because that's all I wanted in life at that moment, a live Nobodies performance. DJ Sean Bang (@SeanBang_) starts the music and the songs are hot and relatable. I love the beat selection and the quality is super pro. Plus, Jah Rah is a mini atomic bomb that can dance his a$$ off. In their performance, Matt begins by saying "let me see if I can remember the words" then blares off to perfect pronunciation and never misses a beat or skips a word. If these guys keep going in the same direction, the growth of The Nobodies music is going to be exponential. Jah Rah produces and I can see that his talent has a wide range and is very diverse. Their stage presence and energy are so enticing you just want to hurl yourself onstage with them. They are truly a group to follow. I wouldn't want to miss anything they have to offer. Sidebar, there was a lot of good energy and love in the room. At one point Matt passed around a camera with only 3 pics left and said make it good. Then before they finished their set he made everyone move to one side to take a huge group photo. The love was definitely in the air. It was so refreshing to be there. So ladies and gentlemen go download the tape #CREDIBILITY tomorrow on SoundCloud, Tuesday January 28, 2014 at 12 pm, https://soundcloud.com/fucknobodies I sure will. Enjoy the pics peeps! P.S. the blow up doll's name is Sally....get her digits from Matt or Jah. Keep Rockin'!
