parents. if you support the lgbt+ community(which you should, otherwise you should not be a parent, but thats for another post), PLEASE TELL YOUR CHILDREN. when questioning sexuality, it is common for a first thought to be “what are my parents going to think.” and if you JUST TELL THEM THAT YOU ARE GOOD WITH IT, not even in reference to them, just in general, you are saving them from a lot of trauma and suffering (not even exaggerating, i literally have about 20 angsty poems from when i was questioning). just say things about current events, like “oh it was mardi gras recently, that’s such an important event for lgbt+ people” or “oh look a pride flag”. it is seriously really important.
