I've only read Gringo (his last manga I think) & Choujin Taikei but yeah it's on my neverending reading list (I was also supposed to begin my journey through the Year 24 Group in 2023... there's still time^^).
I haven't read either of those ones, did you like them? Gringo sounds like it could be interesting, I like Tezuka's seinen works a lot. I'm reading MW right now which is probably his edgiest seinen series and not really the best, but I'm still having fun with it (Speaking of which in the chapter I just read the teacher from Astro Boy gets his dick bit off by a dog lol.) Choujin Takei sounds like he REALLY liked Planet of the Apes haha.
Also I hadn't heard the term Year 24 Group but you just got me interested in looking into that too. I haven't read much old shoujo, or shoujo in general tbh, but I do LOVE Rose of Versailles, and I liked Claudine too, so I definitely wanna check out more of Riyoko Ikeda's work. And looking at the Year 24 Group wikipedia one of the author's listed also apparently being the first yuri manga author definitely caught my eye (though I do wonder if the line between Class S and yuri is really so clear cut.)
