This amazing one shot is set just after the showdown with Ursula and Poseidon in Gold's cabin in 4x15. I love that Emma and Killian do just absolutely steal some time for themselves where no one can disturb them and definitely make the most of it. If you enjoy some deeply feels-y and heartfelt smuff, then this fic is perfect for you. (And if you love Killian's devotion to his Swan and his flowery speech, then you'll only love this all the more! :) @unfolded73 wrote numerous incredible fics during the later seasons of OuaT's run, and this is just one example, but I rediscovered it recently, and just simply had to share it with all of you who might be reading this!

CS Fic Rec Monday: "Now That We're Alone" by: @unfolded73

While @unfolded73 has moved on to other fandoms in her fic writing, I have unearthed a treasure trove recently of her older CS/OuaT stuff, and have been re-reading ones I loved (and reading for the first time ones that I missed) and thoroughly enjoying it! So, I'm sharing a few with others who might now have caught them before.

This particular one shot is a sort of missing moment (and a love scene) from the 5x04 episode, or just after its closing moments, and it is truly powerful. Putting it in Killian's point of view makes it beautiful and loving, but angsty too - as you feel the fraught tension of a man who loves his woman so much, but is living in fear that he can't do enough to pull her back from the abyss. The imagery in the closing lines is so gorgeous - and yet foreboding too... It gives me chills, seriously.
