melon – my first impression of you

I don’t actually remember? I don’t think I really had a single first impression of you, it was more of a general sense that you were someone who was friends with my friends but I never really saw

you’re fantastic! I’m so glad that we have (counterintuitively) become so much closer since graduation. I love hearing about your adventures, from moving out to sculpture and seemingly everything in between. you’re also a remarkably perceptive person – pretty much all of the posts in your “becca look” tag are perfectly on point

@becauseallthegoodonesargon: we were always friendly, and had lots of mutual friends, but cemented our bond senior year over awful (excellent?) chem jokes and concerns over our classmates’ lack of lab safety. a+ person, whom I haven’t seen in way too long!

@yogurtblogging: we had lots of mutual friends, but cemented our bond senior year over awful (excellent?) cow jokes…are you starting to see a theme here? a classic example of the “you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone” phenomenon – I’ve spent way more time talking to her now than I ever did outside of class when we went to school together

@peppermintfeminist: my first friend in elementary school, my longest friendship (unless you count my biological sister), the girl my mom describes as her “well-adjusted middle child”, my partner in crime, my future bookstore co-owner
