Akron Public Schools teacher among 3 Ohioans to receive Carnegie Medal for 2019 water rescue

Akron Public Schools Intervention Specialist Melinda Wilms and Warren Police Sgt. Mark Krempasky were selected to receive the Carnegie Medal for a water rescue. Christine Beheler, a stay-at-home mom from Niles who drowned while assisting with the rescue, will receive the medal posthumously.
