*It was quiet as Yi worked in the garage. After some minutes a quiet "Wait-" can be heared, followed with scrambling noises and crashing sounds before Yi slams the garage door open. She stares to Cobalt*
"..........HOLY SHIT YOU STOOD ON YOUR FEET!!?"

Blair: Now you have to promise me, that you won't do anything, anymore, on this.
Naomi: Well, but suppose that I-
Blair:
That moment when you figure out the perfect way a plot point fits into the story, like the lead up, the execution, what happens after, etc. is honestly something I’d describe as euphoric.
me: I'm going to write a short story for a quick little thing to release while I work on the next Long Thing!
also me: ...okay, so...it's 30k now and there're at least four more big scenes... *deep sigh*
claire telling hannah to gun for it and not let the kings have it since they might take the first shot and hannah saying she thinks she’s gonna gun for it, thank GOD
i need 2 say this somewhere but can’t say it on twitter where lots of irl friends/acquaintances follow me because 🧿🧿🧿 BUT i’ve been spending all this time & energy & emotion yearning for a type of connection/a person that can’t possibly be in my life right now & all i can think about it how that is my fault and i hate myself for that, but the truth (check the facts is a dbt skill i just learned!) of the situation is that even though i don’t have what my heart longs for, i have so many amazing things that i’ve never had before in my life: i’m working a stable job that is fun and interesting and low stress and pays decently and gives me all sorts of health insurance i never had before, and i’m finally getting treatment i probably needed 6 years ago, and i just registered for a professional certification program for the career i’ve secretly wanted since i was a kid, and i am surrounded by cool beautiful kind smart funny & genuine friends who really truly love me as much as i love them (which is a lot), and i’m finally allowing myself to explore my gender & figure out how i actually want to present rather than how i think people expect me to present, and my family loves and accepts me anyway even though i was convinced they never could, and i’m about to move into a quiet little house away from this place that is haunted by painful memories, and i can appreciate and feel thankful for all of these things while acknowledging that my heart feels like it’s been ripped apart but also acknowledging that the pain and heartache is going to go away eventually and all these good beautiful things will stay!! as long as i attend to them and care for them and put my energy into them!! and it’s so much more rewarding and fulfilling to put my energy toward things and people who can reciprocate it instead of throwing myself into self loathing/self destruction & pointless longing! and if i just orient myself toward the right things for long enough, maybe that reality will envelop me & i can let go of the pain grief shame and guilt and just live.
A Small Realization in Regards to The Clan Djarin Series
So, after watching Hamilton on Disney +, something hit me.
I have inadvertently been basing some of my characterization of Omera on Eliza.
I mean, that scene in the show where Din walks into the barn for the first time: "You walked in and my heart went boom"
Her patience with Din in every stage of their relationship so far in my series: "Stay alive, that would be enough."
Her staying by his side even with some hang-ups (even though they're technically not married yet): "I'm not afraid. I know who I married...let me be a part of the narrative"
Am I saying that Omera will follow Eliza's trajectory, or that she is exactly Eliza? No. Am I saying that Din, by association, is Alexander? Absolutely not. In fact, Din is Hamilton's polar opposite in so many ways.
But what I am saying is that I've finally found out why it's so easy to write Omera. She's a wife and mother like my mother, and a wife and mother like Elizabeth Schuyler-Hamilton.
