                    a wide smile spread across xanders lips as finn spoke. he had heard the other talk like that a hundred times but it never changed how much he appreciated it, how much he liked hearing it. he loved finn and he would never tire of hearing that the other loved him too. “is that a proposal?” he laughed. it was almost a joke but xander also kind of hoped that it would be the case. he wanted to spend his life with finn. he wanted the two of them to have forger together … and if finn proposed, xander already knew his answer. he’d know it in a heartbeat. “ but i love you too. it’s me and you, you know? ” he asked with a raise of an eyebrow “ we’re gonna be together in this life and the next. ” xander didn’t know if he believed in anything after all of this, but he knew that if there was something, he and finn would be together. their love was everything to him. and xander knew it had taken him a long time to realise that but he absolutely meant it. he loved him.

          “ it’s not for long. ” xander chuckled as he shook his head ever so slightly. since getting back together, he and finn had  barely spent any time apart, never mind a night. but he was supposed to be staying at his mothers place, just for the night. he’d usually invite finn along but he figured that he and alicia needed some time together. “i’ll see you soon.” he chuckled as he kissed the others forehead. he didn’t want to leave finn either but he knew that it was for a good thing. “ i promise, you never have to let go of me again after this. ”

    “God - I’ve missed this sight.” Xander whispered, as he looked over Finn in the bed beside him. It was early morning but Xander had always been an early riser. And being able to wake up next to Finn in the morning was something that Xander was never going to tire of. “I’ve missed you.” He whispered as he kissed his groggy boyfriends cheek. He was absolutely kicking himself for almost letting Finn go. He was the love of Xanders life and Xander had been so scared that he was going to do something to wreck this, that he had pushed the other away. Xander knew that, he should never have done it. He knew that he was a complete fool … but he still couldn’t shake the fact that he truly thought that Finn deserved more than him.

Xander knew he couldn’t react like this. He knew that he couldn’t because he had never said anything to Finn. The boy hadn’t even realised, truly, how he felt about the other until this moment. But that wasn’t fair. Finn was his best friend. He couldn’t think of the other as anything more than that. Then why did his heart feel like it was being ripped to pieces at just the sight of seeing him kiss someone else? They had come to the party together and Xander half thought that he was going to finally tell the other how he felt. He thought that he was going to finally try and make a move and see what would happen… but then that had been squashed because Finn was kissing someone else. All Xander wanted was Finn to be happy and if this girl was going to do that for him - well - what was Xander to get in the way of that. He sighed as he turned away from his friend and the girl, from the rest of the party, and headed towards the door with a sigh. He needed fresh air, he needed to go home. He would text Finn to make sure he was alright late. But right now he just needed to be anywhere but here.

     this day was something that xander had been waiting for, for a long, time time. he and finn were moving in together and that was something which xander had always thought would happen but not like this. he never thought that he and finn would be together. he had hoped but xander had never, truly, believed that the feelings xander had, had for finn would be reciprocated. he loved finn and he knew that finn loved him. so moving in together only seemed like the perfect next step. “wake up, wake up, wake up.” xander whispered as he kissed his boyfriends cheek. “it’s moving day.” the man laughed as he sat up. xander was practically bouncing. “we get our own place today!!”

     xander should’ve known better than to hope that finn wouldn’t notice. or he would hope that he would just let it slide...though he knew he should’ve known better. of course finn was going to notice and of course he was going to question it. “no one. finn, it doesn’t matter.” the last thing that xander was going to do was admit what it was that had really happened. that someone had beaten him up because they had heard he was gay, that he was with finn. and nothing would make him regret his decision to be with finn but he was scared that this might frighten finn away. he had only just come out after all. it would be a lot for anyone. it wasn’t like it was the first time something like this had happened to him. it had happened a couple times before but he was usually able to hole away and pretend like nothing happened, he could avoid finn and make sure he wasn’t aware of what had happened. but now he was splitting his time between staying with him and staying with alicia so finn couldn’t hide it this time. “ please just drop it? ”

Xander was so excited for tonight. It was the first time that he and Finn were able to be out in public and he couldn’t wait. He had been hidden away with Finn for long enough and Xander didn’t care that the whole school was going to find out. He was excited. “Can you believe that everyone is gonna know about us?” He asked with a raise of an eyebrow as he made the finishing touches to his suit. A public dance...now everyone was going to see how serious Xander was about Finn. Finn was, in Xanders eyes, the love of his life. Finn was the man who Xander was going to spend his entire life with. He knew that was going to be the case when he was younger. He knew that the two of them were going to be by one anothers side until they were six feet under...he just didn’t know that they were going to be together together.
