Lighthearted - Drabble Games

"That was your fault in the first place, Frost." The jest was light and he scowled in her direction across the bar, much to her amusement as she pretended to ignore him, resting her arms on the bar. There was no work for her tonight, so instead of the medical uniform the EMT usually wore, she had on a vivid, dark purple sweater, slightly faded jeans, dark boots and her hair was finally allowed to be down, spread over her back and down to her knee’s. At least when she wasn’t sitting.

"Okay fine, maybe it was but you stuck around and helped."

"That doesn’t mean I earned anything. How’s your shoulder?" He grumbled at the quick interjection, rolling his shoulder in response. It didn’t hurt anymore, the ice she’d given him earlier as well as a slight massage had run its course. It was hardly even tender anymore.

She rolled her eyes but seemed satisfied and he moved back over with her drink, setting it down for her.

"So you’ve yet to be even tipsy in here."

"Not going to happen any time soon." She almost chuckled but there was maybe a challenge in the undertone, making him grin a bit and lean over as she took a sip. 

Well, she did tell him to surprise her every time with a drink, and tonight she was allowed the alcoholic side.
