Wes came with the intention to to see Andy. He knew the other man wasn’t exactly himself since he was released, anyone could probably tell that. But as his best friend, he felt like he had a duty to see it through and be there for him. And while Wes was dealing with his own shit, drinking more than he fucking should, he was a lit more worried about Andy. Reina wasn’t the one he specifically was looking for around here but she’d do. “Oh shit, didn’t realize you were here.” Actually, this was perfect. “I was supposed to give Jason this back,” He pulled out a pocket knife from his shirt, “But since he's not around, I guess I should give it back to you. You know, AJ’d probably like this.” He unfortunately knew how Reina’s son could be. He was creepily a little too like Jason. “Or if ya don’t have one for yourself, this one’s perfect. Almost accidentally needed it at The Dive last night.” Either his drinking was going to kill him or his drunken state was, he wasn’t sure which one it would be. Though honestly, he did want to stop for Ryan but that was a lot harder said than done.

He had been spending more and more time at his sister’s lately, mainly because he didn’t want to go home alone to an empty apartment. Alone with his thoughts was not somewhere he wanted to be. And the fact that Brenna lived there was also a bonus.

“You’re gonna need a new toilet.” He announced as he joined her back at the kitchen table. It was his duty to annoy his sister, including leaving a massive dump. “And no I’m not going to expand further on that, you can find out for yourself.” Most of the time, he was pretty mature but being around his sister, it always brought out his childish side. “Have you spoken to mom and dad? Dad’s thinking of buying a porsche because he’s having his third quarter crisis. I told mom that’s incredibly cliche.”

There was only so much you could say to a woman whose child was just gone. Missing. When he first heard that Ellie was missing, he couldn’t move. She wasn’t his but he loved her. He couldn’t have even imagined the toll it would take on their whole family. Cass wasn’t the same. Lara wasn’t the same. Tom wasn’t the same. It was unfair to say that Ellie was the glue but things were a lot easier when she was here.

Any day that he wasn’t training or had a fight, he went over to the Mills’ house, making sure they had everything that they needed. Hell, he even learned how to cook in case Tom or Lara needed to eat. Anything he could do to help. At this point, Josh just walked right into their house, chicken parm in one hand as he did so. It was the day after a fight which meant that he relaxed and spent an hour in his own kitchen, letting the cuts and bruises heal a bit. “Hey,” He said as he spotted Lara in her usual spot, “I made chicken parm for you two, labeled it and everything.” He would eventually go to put it in the freezer once he made his way to the kitchen. “Did you get any sleep last night? You look almost as bad as I do,” Through his joking, he was truly worried about her, “You gotta rest at some point. You ever smoke some indica before? It might do you good.”
