battlefront reunion
a mission to take out a newly emerged and annoying group of bandits was nothing new, he’d been the leader on these kinds of easy mission more than once before and they’d never turned out too badly. bandits were easy targets, and more often or not were simply handled by one of the classes at the monastery as a sort of opportunity for experience on the battlefield.
this time though, sigurd has a new recruit riding with his group, along with a few other already somewhat experienced knights in case something to go wrong. it didn’t bother him, but what did was that she looked awfully familiar, like he knew her from somewhere.
and he swore he could feel her eyes on him as they made their way to the rumored bandit outpost on horseback. his curiosity as to why was tearing him apart, and so he slows his horse down so it walks next to her own, letting the few other knights assigned to the mission lead ahead of them.
“is everything alright back here?” sigurd asks, tone writhe with piqued curiosity. while he does want to actually know if she’s doing okay, he’s more so looking for an answer as to why she was so familiar— but it’s not as if he would ask her that outright.
