Sir Henry Irving reciting Henry VIII (1898)
There are many strange things across the universe. There are many strange places across the universe. Sometimes, strange things are in strange places, but sometimes, strange things aren't.
Given the quite unusual woman currently wandering god-knows-where (from her perspective at least), this seems to be a case of a strange thing in a non-strange place. Or... at least not the right strange place.
This woman, a bit lanky and quite tall at 6'1", and with shimmering hair that almost looks like thread spun from aquamarine, sticks out like a sore thumb. Hell, she'd stick out even in the middle of an anime convention.
"...I don't even know where this is." And clearly she is very lost.
"Only the strongest will survive. Lead me to heaven when we die. I am the shadow on the wall. I'll be the one to save us all..."
this won't be a surprise to anyone who's followed this blog for longer than 6 minutes, but my Angel is canon-divergent in his sexuality. he's Pansexual, probably with a lean towards women just from his own personal experiences/the people he's around and interacts with
he's also Intersex, which might be more surprising since I've tragically only done one smut thing since being back
I’d love to get into some threads developing Bruce’s hunger and self-control (and sometimes, lack of). However, sharks only go after fish, marine mammals, and sea birds— they aren’t man-eaters. Humans aren’t something that they naturally ‘crave’.
Hence, that limits said threads to muses who are fish, marine mammals, and sea birds which are currently zero. Of course, I don’t want to make Bruce ooc just to explore another aspect of his character, you know?
Most of my threads don’t cover Bruce’s self-doubt of his crusade and determination simply because they aren’t relevant to the other muse’s interaction, but he’s NOT a perfect model of self-control and I think it’d be fun to explore that.
Past lives couldn't ever hold me down Lost love is sweeter when it's finally found I've got the strangest feeling This isn't our first time around
Past lives couldn't ever come between us Sometimes the dreamers finally wake up Don't wake me I'm not dreaming Don't wake me I'm not dreaming
Do you ever stop and wonder what Venti actually thinks about the Church of Favonius? I mean, on one hand it must be quite nice, having a religion literally built around you, but on the other it must also be incredibly frustrating to have everything you wanted to embody and represent bastardised by organised religion. It feels so odd for people to worship the literal god of freedom, within four stone walls, with stuffy prayers and stilted hymns. When surely the embodiment of all things free should mean a church without borders. Somewhere out in the fields, where the breeze can swirl without boundaries and filled with music and laughter and song. (And probably also copious amounts of wine, but I digress). I do wonder if in the beginning it was more in tune with the concept of freedom, but over time it became more rigid to fit into the societal needs for a little more structure (and like most governments to exercise some degree of control) but that must be an oddly jarring thing to live through and watch unfold.
