Eris ☠ Changmin || chance encounter
He bolted down the street hoping that he could get somewhere that he could be safe, he knew he wasn’t supposed to exist or be part of this mortal realm and here was the one person who could actually point him out of a crowd and have any power over him. He wasn’t one to show fear either yet in this situation where things could turn to the worst he didn’t restrain his emotions as he muttered obscenities to himself as he fled.
He spotted a cab and was about to hail for it but suddenly he heard it. The crackle of glass and the surge of power he was all too familiar with and with a single blink a shower of glass rained down upon him and the people near him. He still tried to make a run for it but the shards on the ground seemed to land in a manner only someone like himself would want them and as the rain of sharpened glass cut into him from above a larger piece cut through the bottom of his shoe bringing him to the ground.
He laid there for a moment wide-eyed and still terrified of what was to come. He had no explanation. He knew he wasn’t supposed to be here. What would she do to him? What would she ask? Would she simply toy with him? He turned his head as his eyes were now their golden color as he saw who was trying to avoid approaching him.
She watched on as her feet carried her down the street, closing the distance between them, as he was brought down to the ground. It had worked.
She couldn't even revel in the success as she drew nearer, her feet slowing as her breath came in winded pants. Her mahogany tresses were wind strewn from her run and wide brown eyes locked onto him. Even from such a distance she could feel his presence.
Where the glass had showered him and made small cuts in his skin trailed thin lines of blood with the biggest wound being no doubt his foot. Not even a pang of guilt rang through her as she took slow steps towards him, one by one. It was as if she were in a trance of her own. Had a nearby passerby not stopped her from stepping her bare feet on the glass she surely would not have ceased her advance until she was nearly upon him but here was close enough.
She could see him clearly, those golden eyes catching her attention.
Even though there were many strangers around them and clad in her attire, they already thought her ill but from the moment she began to speak it was a wonder they hadn't called the police on her.
"What are you? Why do you feel like me?" The questions came loud enough for her usually small voice to carry, a conviction behind them that morphed them to demand an answer.
Her usually expressionless doll-like features were now twisted in a mix between anger at the patronizing voices telling her to 'back away from the glass' and to 'calm down' and utter confusion. With her eyes locked on him, she jerked her arm from a nearby woman who'd tried to calm her, her voice raising. She was confused and perhaps even a bit scared and it only angered her further.
"Answer me!" The outburst was further enforced by the orchestra of car alarms starting up from every car resting idle on the street, her eyes never leaving him.
