matt  is  completely  blind.  whilst  there's  blind  people  who  have  percentage  of  their  sight  left,  matt  is  the  10%  people  who  have  no  light  perception  whatsoever.  he's  permanently  and  completely  blind.  however  due  to  his  sight  loss  circumstances,  the  senses  he  possesses  are  highened  to  a  supernatural  degree  ( even  further  enhanced  by  the  beast's  influence  later  on ).

matt  sees  the  world  as  a  3d  map  of  vibrations,  sounds  and  scents  thanks  to  his  radar  sense  which  works  like  echolocation.  think  of  a  3d  map  that  architecture  workers  would  do  in  something  like  blender  without  textures.  that's  how  matt  "sees"  the  world.  some  visuals  from  comics  to  further  showcase  what  i  mean.

now,  my  matt  can  vaguely  tell  the  shape  of  a  person,  if  he  can  touch  them  -  more  details  are  added  in  this  "brain  map"  of  his  until  he  can  vaguely  imagine  how  somebody  looks  like.  of  course  this  is  based  on  the  information  he  can  receive  from  the  powerful  sensory  awareness  but  touch  also  plays  a  big  role  in  this  just  as  much  as  hearing  and  smell  does.  one  of  these  is  impaired  and  matt  can  get  overwhelmed  by  the  outside  information  he  gets.  although  he  still  pretends  to  be  a  blind  man,  walks  with  a  mobility  cane  he  is  absolutely  aware  of  his  surroundings.

hello! this is miscedefined, a miscecanis / omegaverse blog run by @mawchine. (it/its.)

inspired by blogs such as @omegai and @omegarchive , this blog is meant to "define" niche misceverses and help provide clarification on what certain omegaverse terms might mean! this is not meant as some unequivocal definition on what a 'verse is, just some suggestions on what it might mean.
